[J] [PREACHING LESSON 18:] HELL IS A POPULATED PLACE OF MULTITUDES OF SOULS OF SINNERS

(Ang impiyerno ay lugar ng mga kaluluwa ng maraming taong mga makasalanan)

ISAIAH 5:14 Therefore hell hath enlarged herself, and opened her mouth without measure: and their glory, and their multitude, and their pomp, and he that rejoiceth, shall descend into it.”

Introduction:

a.    Scripture teaches how vast the place of hell is and how it expands further according to the number of souls going there every second, every minute, every hour, and every day there is so much destruction there. This is how the realm of hell expands.

b.    The Bible tells us how God judged them on His Great White Throne judgment and threw them all into the lake of fire.

REVELATIONS 20:12-15 “And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is [the book] of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.
Rev 20:13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.
Rev 20:14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
Rev 20:15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.”

Five (5) types of souls of sinners that made hell more populated:

I. HELL IS POPULATED WITH UNGODLY LOST SOULS

(Ang impiyerno ay puno ng mga di-makadiyos na kaluluwa)

PSALMS 1:6 “For the Lord knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.”

a.    Ungodly – means not believing in or respecting God or disobeying God

b.    God will judge the ungodly in hell.

REVELATION 21:8 “But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.”

c.     The ungodly can be discern or know them from their works.

TITUS 1:16 “They profess that they know God; but in works they deny [him], being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.”

II. HELL IS POPULATED BY THE UNBELIEVING SOULS

(Ang impiyerno ay puno ng mga di-naniniwala na kaluluwa)

2THESSALONIANS 1:8-9 “In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:
2Thes 1:9 Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power;”

a.    These are the ones who heard the message of the gospel of Christ but they refused and did not repent of their sins and did not believe in Jesus Christ.

JOHN 3:18 “He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.”

JOHN 3:36 “He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.”

b.    This is the stubbornness of not believing that there is a greater God who created all things in the world.

PSALMS 14:1 “The fool hath said in his heart, [There is] no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, [there is] none that doeth good.”

c.     These ones believe in the teaching of tradition and religion that God is a statue made by human hands.

PSALMS 115:4-8 “Their idols [are] silver and gold, the work of men’s hands.
Pss 115:5 They have mouths, but they speak not: eyes have they, but they see not:
Pss 115:6 They have ears, but they hear not: noses have they, but they smell not:
Pss 115:7 They have hands, but they handle not: feet have they, but they walk not: neither speak they through their throat.
Pss 115:8 They that make them are like unto them; [so is] every one that trusteth in them.”

III. HELL IS POPULATED BY THE UNWILLING AND UNTEACHABLE LOST SOULS

(Ang impiyerno ay puno ng mga kaluluwang walang may nais at ayaw magpaturo)

2TIMOTHY 4:3-4 “For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
2Tim 4:4 And they shall turn away [their] ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.”

a.    A leader counseled by the Lord Jesus prefers his riches rather than the eternal promise of the Lord Jesus.

LUKE 18:22-23 “Now when Jesus heard these things, he said unto him, Yet lackest thou one thing: sell all that thou hast, and distribute unto the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, follow me.
Lk 18:23 And when he heard this, he was very sorrowful: for he was very rich.”

b.    King Aggrippa also refused to believe that even though he understood that Jesus was the only Savior of his soul

ACTS 26:27-28 “King Agrippa, believest thou the prophets? I know that thou believest.
Acts 26:28 Then Agrippa said unto Paul, Almost thou persuadest me to be a Christian.”

Conclusion:

Hell is expanding because of the lost people doomed there.

God bless you all
