PROVERBS
3:17 “Her ways [are] ways of pleasantness, and all her paths [are]
peace.”
Introduction:
a.
The Christian's choice to live a righteous Christian life
always has the expected satisfaction and peace that God promises as the verse
says.
b.
Those who want to live in love with the world have a
stern warning to the Christian that we will lose God's love for us.
1JOHN 2:15 “Love not the world, neither the things [that are] in the
world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.”
Five (5)
specific biblical guidelines to ensure pleasantness and peace in the Christian
life:
I. VALUING THE WORD OF GOD IS A GODLY CHOICE WITH
PLEASANTNESS AND PEACE

isang maka-Diyos na pagpili na may kasiyahan at kapayapaan)
PROVERBS 3:1-2 “My son,
forget not my law; but let thine heart keep my commandments:
Prov 3:2 For length of days, and long life, and peace, shall they add to thee.”
a.
King David set a good example in choosing God's Word.
PSALMS 1:1-2 “Blessed
[is] the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in
the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
Pss 1:2 But his delight [is] in the
law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.”
b.
God calls Christians blessed who value the word of God.
PSALMS 1:1 “Blessed
[is] the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in

c.
King David said that his delight was in the word of God.
PSALMS 1:1-2 “But
his delight [is] in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day
and night.”
II.
LIVING IN
GOD’S MERCY AND TRUTH IS A GODLY CHOICE WITH PLEASANTNESS AND PEACE
(Ang pamumuhay sa awa ng Diyos at katotohanan ay isang
maka-Diyos na pagpili na may kasiyahan at kapayapaan)
PROVERBS 3:3-4 “Let not
mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them upon the
table of thine heart:
Prov 3:4 So shalt thou find favour and good understanding in the sight of God
and man.”
a.
God's mercy and truth are always together because they
are a permanent attribute of God.
b.
Living the truth always brings joy to the heart of the
parent.
3JOHN 1:3-4 “For I
rejoiced greatly, when the brethren came and testified of the truth that is in
thee, even as thou walkest in the truth.
3Jn 1:4 I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.”
III.
TRUSTING IN THE
LORD AT ALL TIMES IS A GODLY CHOICE OF A CHRISTIAN WITH PLEASANTNESS AND PEACE

na may kasiyahan at kapayapaan)
PROVERBS 3:5-6 “Trust
in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
Prov 3:6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”
a.
This is how God expects us to trust in him at all times
and not in ourselves.
b.
The great promise of God's guidance will be held by God
in our daily lives.
IV.
FEARING GOD
AND DEPARTING FROM EVIL IS A GODLY CHOICE WITH PLEASANTNESS AND PEACE

isang pagpili na may kasiyahan at kapayapaan)
PROVERBS 3:7-8 “Be not
wise in thine own eyes: fear the Lord, and depart from evil.
Prov 3:8 It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones.”
a.
Fear of God
shows our reverence for God.
b.
God says that
fearing him is good for our lives.
V.
HONORING GOD
WITH OUR SUBSTANCE (OUR GIVING) IS A GODLY CHOICE WITH PLEASANTNESS AND PEACE
(Ang paggalang sa Diyos
sa ating sangkap (ating pagbibigay) ay isang maka-Diyos na pagpili na may
kasiyahan at kapayapaan)
PROVERBS 3:9-10 “Honour
the Lord with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase:
Prov 3:10 So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst
out with new wine.”
a.
God challenges us to be faithful in giving.
MALACHI 3:10 “Bring
ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house,
and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the
windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that [there shall] not [be room] enough [to
receive it].”
b.
God promised to pour into our barns.
PROVERBS 3:10 “So
shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new
wine.”
Conclusion:
Living with
joy and peace is God's promise to every Christian who is willing to choose to
live right and righteous in the Lord.
PROVERBS
