GREAT ASSURANCE OF GOD TO A PRAYERFUL AND RIGHTEOUS CHRISTIAN IN
TIMES OF GREAT TROUBLES.
(PSALMS 34:17-18) "[The righteous] cry, and the
Lord heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles. 18 The Lord [is]
nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite
spirit."
Introduction:
a. God promises to answer the prayer of
a righteous person while rejecting the prayers of those whose hearts are not
right with Him.
(1 PETER 3:12) "For the eyes of the Lord are
over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of
the Lord is against them that do evil."
b. Walking in righteousness and
maintaining a prayerful life anchors the believer securely through life's
unpredictable trials.
I. STABILITY IN TIMES OF AND IN THE
MIDST OF GREAT TROUBLES
(PSALMS 34:17) "[The righteous] cry, and the
Lord heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles."
(1 PETER 5:10) "But the God of all grace,
who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have
suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle [you]."
a. In the midst of life's storms, a
solid relationship with God is your anchor.
b. God will always bless the righteous
Christians.
(PSALMS 11:7) "For the righteous LORD
loveth righteousness; his countenance doth behold the upright."
c. A prayerful believer remains firm
when trials shake those around them.
d. God strengthens the inner man to
endure temporary suffering with eternal hope.
II. SECURITY WAS GIVEN BY GOD IN
TIMES OF SATAN'S ATTACK TO GOD'S PEOPLE
(EPHESIANS 6:11-18) "Put on the whole armour of
God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we
wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against
powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual
wickedness in high [places]. 13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of
God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to
stand. 18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and
watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;"
a. The Christian's best weapon against
the enemy the Devil is prayer without ceasing.
b. Christians are perfectly protected
by God by His feathers.
(PSALMS 91:1-10) "He that dwelleth in the
secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. 2 I
will say of the Lord, [He is] my refuge."
c. Spiritual defense requires daily
reliance on God's armor and constant prayer.
d. Believers are safe under divine
protection while facing spiritual warfare.
III. SENSITIVITY EXPERIENCE FROM GOD
OF THE CHRISTIAN IN TIMES OF TROUBLE
(PROVERBS 4:7) "Wisdom is the principal
thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding."
a. God will give you greater spiritual understanding and increased
awareness to the needs of others.
b. The Holy Spirit guides and gives
wisdom to God's people.
(JOHN 16:13) "Howbeit when he, the Spirit
of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of
himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew
you things to come."
c. Trials help believers become more
receptive to the voice of God.
d. Divine discernment helps righteous
Christians navigate complex problems safely.
Conclusion:
a. Righteous and prayerful Christians
are never abandoned during great troubles because God provides stability,
security, and spiritual sensitivity.
b. Trusting in God through continuous
prayer transforms adversity into opportunities to witness His deliverance and
faithfulness.
