[I] [PREACHING LESSON 8:] WHAT MONEY CANNOT BUY?

(Ano ang hindi mabibili ng pera?)

MARK 8:36 “For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?”

Panimula:

a.     Ito ay maliwanag na katotohanan na hindi lahat ng bagay ay kayang bilhin ng pera. Maraming tao na inilalagay nila sa pera ang kanilang pag-asa ngunit nagsabi ang Salita ng Diyos na hindi lahat ng bagay ay kayang bilhin ng pera.

b.    Ang tao ay nag-iisip ng mga bagay na pansamantala ngunit ang Diyos ay nag-iisip ng pangwalang-hanggang kabutihan sa Kanyang nilalang.

JOHN 10:10 “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have [it] more abundantly.”

Mga bagay na hindi kayang bilhin ng salapi:

1. MONEY CAN BUY GOOD LIFE BUT NOT ETERNAL LIFE

(Maaaring bilhin ng salapi ang magandang buhay ngunit hindi ang walang hanggang buhay)

LUKE 12:19-21 “And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years; take thine ease, eat, drink, [and] be merry.
Lk 12:20 But God said unto him, [Thou] fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided?
Lk 12:21 So [is] he that layeth up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.”

a.     Ang taong mayaman na ito kahit na may pinakamagandang bahay sa lupa at nagkaroon ng lahat ng bagay sa kanyang buhay ngunit malungkot na katotohanan na siya ay walang buhay na walang hanggan.

b.    Ang bawat nagtiwala kay Kristo bagamat sila ay walang maraming salapi para bumili ng magandang tahanan sa lupa ay mayroon namang magandang mansiyon sa langit.

JOHN 14:2 “In my Father’s house are many mansions: if [it were] not [so], I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.”

2. MONEY CAN BUY GOOD BED TO SLEEP BUT NOT GOOD SLEEP WITH GOD’S PROTECTION

(Maaaring bilhin ng salapi ang magandang tulugan ngunit hindi ang masarap na pagtulog na may proteksyon ng Diyos)

PSALMS 91:4-5 “He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth [shall be thy] shield and buckler.
Pss 91:5 Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; [nor] for the arrow [that] flieth by day;”

a.     Ang Diyos ang magbibigay sa atin ng mabuti at mahimbing na pagtulog dahil Siya ang nagbabantay sa bawat naging anak ng Diyos.

b.    Ang Diyos mismo ang nagsabi na hindi Siya matutulog ni maiidlip man upang bantayan at bigyan tayo ng masarap na pagtulog.

PSALMS 121:4-5 “Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.
Pss 121:5 The Lord [is] thy keeper: the Lord [is] thy shade upon thy right hand.”

3. MONEY CAN BUY GOOD COMPANIONSHIP BUT NOT RELATIONSHIP WITH THE FAMILY OF GOD

(Maaaring bilhin ng salapi ang mabuting kasama ngunit hindi ang relasyon sa pamilya ng Diyos)

JOHN 1:12-13 “But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, [even] to them that believe on his name:
Jn 1:13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.”

a.     Ang taong mayaman na ito ay kilala at siguradong maraming kaibigan ngunit ang malungkot na katotohanan ay hindi niya kayang bilhin ang kaugnayan niya sa Diyos.

LUKE 18:18-24 “And a certain ruler asked him, saying, Good Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?
Lk 18:19 And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? none [is] good, save one, [that is], God.
Lk 18:20 Thou knowest the commandments, Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Honour thy father and thy mother.
Lk 18:21 And he said, All these have I kept from my youth up.
Lk 18:22 Now when Jesus heard these things, he said unto him, Yet lackest thou one thing: sell all that thou hast, and distribute unto the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, follow me.
Lk 18:23 And when he heard this, he was very sorrowful: for he was very rich.
Lk 18:24 And when Jesus saw that he was very sorrowful, he said, How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God!”

b.    Ang mapabilang sa pamilya ng Diyos ay hindi nangangailangan ng pera kundi ng pananampalataya kay Kristo Hesus.

JOHN 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

4. MONEY CAN BUY GOOD SECURITY BUT NOT THE PROMISE OF ETERNAL SECURITY FROM GOD

(Maaaring bilhin ng salapi ang mabuting seguridad ngunit hindi ang pangakong walang hanggang seguridad mula sa Diyos)

1JOHN 5:13 “These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.”

a.     Tiniyak ng Diyos na may buhay na walang hanggan tayo at hindi na papasok sa kahatulan sa impiyerno.

JOHN 5:24 “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.”

b.    Tiyak ang pangako ng Diyos sapagkat hindi Siya sinungaling sa Kanyang pangako na buhay na walang hanggan.

TITUS 1:2 “In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began;”

5. MONEY CAN BUY GOOD SUCCESS BUT NOT SUCCESS IN CHRIST

(Maaaring bilhin ng salapi ang mabuting tagumpay ngunit hindi ang tagumpay kay Kristo)

1CORINTHIANS 15:57 “But thanks [be] to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.”

a.     Ang tagumpay kay Kristo ay ang lubos na pagbabago ng ating buhay.

2CORINTHIANS 5:17 “Therefore if any man [be] in Christ, [he is] a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”

b.    Ang tagumpay ay palaging posible kay Kristo.

PHILIPPIANS 4:13 “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.”

Pangwakas:

Totoong maraming mabibili ang pera ngunit hindi ang kaligtasan ng kaluluwa.

EPHESIANS 2:8-9 “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: [it is] the gift of God:
Eph 2:9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.”

Pagpalain kayong lahat ng Diyos.
