[I] [PREACHING LESSON 11:] THE CALL TO FOLLOW JESUS

(Ang panawagang sumunod kay Hesus)

MARK 1:16-20 “Now as he walked by the sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and Andrew his brother casting a net into the sea: for they were fishers.
Mk 1:17 And Jesus said unto them, Come ye after me, and I will make you to become fishers of men.
Mk 1:18 And straightway they forsook their nets, and followed him.
Mk 1:19 And when he had gone a little further thence, he saw James the [son] of Zebedee, and John his brother, who also were in the ship mending their nets.
Mk 1:20 And straightway he called them: and they left their father Zebedee in the ship with the hired servants, and went after him.”

Panimula:

a.     Ang Panginoong Hesus ay patuloy pa na tumatawag ng mga handang magsuko ng buhay nila sa Diyos upang ganapin ang pinakamahalagang gawain ng pag-aakay ng kaluluwa sa buong mundo.

MARK 16:15 “And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.”

b.    Sa pagsunod natin sa tawag ng Diyos ay may malaking pagbabago na mangyayari sa bawat handang sumunod sa tawag ni Kristo Hesus.

Ang mga pagbabago sa handang sumunod sa tawag ni Hesus:

1. THIS IS A CALL TO CHANGE YOUR DIRECTION FROM SECULAR TO SPIRITUAL BUSINESS

(Ito ay isang panawagan upang baguhin ang iyong direksyon mula sa sekular patungong espirituwal na gawain)

MARK 1:16-17 “Now as he walked by the sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and Andrew his brother casting a net into the sea: for they were fishers.
Mk 1:17 And Jesus said unto them, Come ye after me, and I will make you to become fishers of men.”

a.     Mula sa pagiging mangingisda, sila ay naging mamalakaya ng mga tao. Ito ang malaking pagbabago sa kanilang gagawing pagsunod kay Kristo Hesus.

b.    Ang kanilang kasipagan sa pangingisda ay nagamit din nila sa pag-aakay ng maraming kaluluwa kay Kristo Hesus.

1CORINTHIANS 9:19 “For though I be free from all [men], yet have I made myself servant unto all, that I might gain the more.”

ACTS 2:41 “Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added [unto them] about three thousand souls.”

2. THIS IS A CALL TO CHANGE YOUR DEVOTION FROM EARTHLY TO HEAVENLY

(Ito ay isang panawagan upang baguhin ang iyong debosyon mula sa pagiging makalupa patungong makalangit)

COLOSSIANS 3:1-3 “If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.
Col 3:2 Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.
Col 3:3 For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.”

a.     May panawagan ang Diyos sa bawat Kristiyano na ating ilagak ang ating isipan sa mga bagay na makalangit at hindi sa mga bagay na makalupa tulad ng ating buhay noon.

b.    Ang pagbibigay ng panahon na sumama sa pag-aakay ng kaluluwa ay paglalagak ng ating puso sa mga bagay na makalangit.

1THESSALONIANS 2:19-20 “For what [is] our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? [Are] not even ye in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at his coming?
1Thes 2:20 For ye are our glory and joy.”

c.      Nagkakatuwaan ang Diyos at ang mga anghel sa langit kapag may isang makasalanan na nagsisi at tumanggap sa Panginoon.

LUKE 15:7 “I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance.”

3. THIS IS A CALL TO CHANGE YOUR DECISION FROM SELF-CONCERN TO GOD-GLORIFYING-CONCERN

(Ito ay isang panawagan upang baguhin ang iyong pasya mula sa pag-aalala sa sarili patungo sa pag-aalala na maluwalhati ang Diyos)

1CORINTHIANS 1:26, 31 “For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, [are called]:

1Cor 1:31 That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.”

a.     Hindi ang mga makapangyarihan at malalakas na tao ang tinawag ng Diyos kundi ang mga mahihina, mangmang at mga taong walang halaga upang gumanap ng gawain ng Panginoon.

1CORINTHIANS 1:27-28 “But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;
1Cor 1:28 And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, [yea], and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are:”

b.    Ang nais ng Diyos ay upang ang lahat ng tagumpay ay ating maibigay lahat sa Diyos at hindi sa atin.

1CORINTHIANS 1:29 “That no flesh should glory in his presence.”

4. THIS IS A CALL TO CHANGE TO WHOM WE GIVE OUR DEDICATION FROM THIS WORLD TO DEDICATION TO CHRIST

(Ito ay isang panawagan upang baguhin kung kanino natin ibibigay ang ating dedikasyon mula sa mundong ito patungo sa dedikasyon kay Kristo)

MATTHEW 6:24 “No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.”

a.     Pinili at tinawag tayo ng Panginoon na maging katuwang sa Kanyang makalangit na gawain.

JOHN 15:16 “Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and [that] your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.”

b.    Magbibigay ang Diyos ng gantimpala sa katapatan ng bawat sumusunod sa tawag ng Diyos.

1CORINTHIANS 9:25 “And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they [do it] to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible.”

Pangwakas:

Ang bawat sumusunod sa tawag ng Diyos ay totoong may malaking pagbabago sa kanyang buhay at may pangako ang Diyos na hindi mawawalan ng kabuluhan ang bawat sumusunod sa tawag ng Diyos.

1CORINTHIANS 15:58 “Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.”

Pagpalain kayong lahat ng Diyos.
