WHY GOD SAY TO CHRISTIANS, "I WILL NOT LEAVE THEE AND FORSAKE THEE"?
( Hebrews 13:5 ) Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content
with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor
forsake thee.
1. GOD IS ALWAYS THERE EVEN THOUGH WE ARE NOT FAITHFUL TO HIM.
( 2 Timothy 2:13 ) If we believe not, yet he abideth faithful: he cannot deny
himself.
2. GOD IS ALWAYS
THERE WITH YOU EVEN WHEN YOU'RE DISOBEYING HIM.
( Hebrews 12:5-11 )
[5]And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you
as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor
faint when thou art rebuked of him:
[6]For whom the
Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.
[7]If ye endure
chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the
father chasteneth not?
[8]But if ye be
without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not
sons.
[9]Furthermore we
have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence:
shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live?
[10]For they verily
for a few days chastened us after their own pleasure; but he for our profit,
that we might be partakers of his holiness.
[11]Now no
chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless
afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are
exercised thereby.
3. GOD IS ALWAYS THERE WITH YOU WHEN YOU MAKE BIG PLANS IN YOUR LIFE.
( James 4:13-14 ) [13]Go to now, ye that say, To day or to morrow we will go into
such a city, and continue there a year, and buy and sell, and get gain:
[14]Whereas ye know
not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour,
that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.
4. GOD IS ALWAYS
THERE WITH YOU WHEN YOU ARE TIRED OF YOUR LIFE IN THE WORLD.
(Isaiah 40:29-31) [29]He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might
he increaseth strength.
[30]Even the youths
shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall:
[31]But they that
wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings
as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not
faint.
5. GOD IS ALWAYS THERE WITH YOU WHEN YOU FACE PAIN AND TROUBLES AND
TRIALS IN YOUR LIFE TO COMFORT YOU.
( II Corinthians
1:4-10 ) [4]Who comforteth us in all our tribulation,
that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort
wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.
[5]For as the
sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also aboundeth by Christ.
[6]And whether we
be afflicted, it is for your consolation and salvation, which is effectual in
the enduring of the same sufferings which we also suffer: or whether we be
comforted, it is for your consolation and salvation.
[7]And our hope of
you is stedfast, knowing, that as ye are partakers of the sufferings, so shall
ye be also of the consolation.
[8]For we would
not, brethren, have you ignorant of our trouble which came to us in Asia, that
we were pressed out of measure, above strength, insomuch that we despaired even
of life:
[9]But we had the
sentence of death in ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves, but in
God which raiseth the dead:
[10]Who delivered
us from so great a death, and doth deliver: in whom we trust that he will yet
deliver us;
6. GOD IS ALWAYS
THERE WITH YOU WHEN YOU NEED HIS SUFFICIENT GRACE IN YOUR LIFE.
2 Corinthians
12:9-10 [9]And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient
for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore
will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon
me.
[10]Therefore I
take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions,
in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.
* ( IPeter 5:10 ) But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal
glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect,
stablish, strengthen, settle you.
( I Corinthians
15:10 ) But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his
grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more
abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.
*
God bless you all always. *
