[HH] [PREACHING LESSON 2:] SOUL WINNING IS THE KEY TO THE DYNAMIC GROWTH OF THE CHURCH

SOUL WINNING IS THE KEY TO THE DYNAMIC GROWTH OF THE CHURCH

( Acts 2:47 ) Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved

a. Christ, who is the head and founder of the church, gave us the formula for a dynamic growth of the church:  "daily soulwinning "

b. Christ designed His church to always win lost people

1. Soulwinning was the key to the dynamic growth of Jerusalem church.

( Acts 2:41 ) Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.

The 120 church members of Jerusalem church went to win souls during the Pentecost. The Holy Spirit helped and gave them the power to be effective in winning more precious souls. There were about 3000 souls got saved and baptized. This is truly a dynamic growth of the church.

2. Soulwinning is the great commission of the Lord Jesus Christ.

( Mathew 28:19-20 ) v.19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

v.20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

The great commission is more than just key to the dynamic growth of the church. Its objective is to reach the whole world with the gospel of Christ. Certainly, it’s a huge task. God’s mission is global. Yet, don’t make this Mission Impossible, but rather Mission Inevitable.

Let us all reach the whole world with the gospel of Christ.!!!

3. Soulwinning is the main business of the local church.

( Acts 5:42 ) And daily in the temple, and in every house, they ceased not to teach and preach Jesus Christ.

The first church, the Jerusalem church, meant business with God in winning lost people.

( Acts 6:4-7 ) [4]But we will give ourselves continually to prayer, and to the ministry of the word.

[5]And the saying pleased the whole multitude: and they chose Stephen, a man full of faith and of the Holy Ghost, and Philip, and Prochorus, and Nicanor, and Timon, and Parmenas, and Nicolas a proselyte of Antioch:

[6]Whom they set before the apostles: and when they had prayed, they laid their hands on them.

[7]And the word of God increased; and the number of the disciples multiplied in Jerusalem greatly; and a great company of the priests were obedient to the faith.

4. Soulwinning is the only key to the dynamic growth of the church.

( Mark 2:1-5 ) [1]And again he entered into Capernaum after some days; and it was noised that he was in the house.

[2]And straightway many were gathered together, insomuch that there was no room to receive them, no, not so much as about the door: and he preached the word unto them.

[3]And they come unto him, bringing one sick of the palsy, which was borne of four.

[4]And when they could not come nigh unto him for the press, they uncovered the roof where he was: and when they had broken it up, they let down the bed wherein the sick of the palsy lay.

[5]When Jesus saw their faith, he said unto the sick of the palsy, Son, thy sins be forgiven thee.

Our prime example is Christ. During His earthly ministry, the worship house in Capernaum had become crowded making it impossible for the people to get inside. This is clear evidence of dynamic church growth. Truly, Christ is our example in faithful soulwinning.

Soulwinning is Christ's formula to the dynamic growth of the church and we, as Christians, OUR JOB is to follow Christ's example in faithful soulwinning.

( John 9:4-5) 4 I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.

5. As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.

* The Lord Jesus Christ is our perfect model in Soulwinning.

( John 9:4-5 ) [4]I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.

[5]As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.

I challenge you, Christians, to win the lost at any cost.

* God bless you all always. *
