[HH] [PREACHING LESSON 18:] HOW CHURCH MEMBERS CAN ALWAYS EXPRESS THEIR LOVE TO THEIR LOCAL CHURCH?

HOW CHURCH MEMBERS CAN ALWAYS EXPRESS THEIR LOVE TO THEIR LOCAL CHURCH?

*( John 14:15 ) If ye love me, keep my commandments.

1. BY ALWAYS BEING FAITHTFUL TO WORSHIP GOD IN HIS CHURCH

( Acts 2:46-47 ) [46]And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart,

[47]Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.

2. BY ALWAYS OBEYING GOD ACCORDING TO HIS WORD IN THEIR CHRISTIAN LIFE.

( John 14:15 ) Jn 14:15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.

* King David is our good model for this.

( Psalms 128:1-6 ) [1] Blessed is every one that feareth the LORD; that walketh in his ways.

[2]For thou shalt eat the labour of thine hands: happy shalt thou be, and it shall be well with thee.

[3]Thy wife shall be as a fruitful vine by the sides of thine house: thy children like olive plants round about thy table.

[4]Behold, that thus shall the man be blessed that feareth the LORD.

[5]The LORD shall bless thee out of Zion: and thou shalt see the good of Jerusalem all the days of thy life.

[6]Yea, thou shalt see thy children's children, and peace upon Israel.

3. BY ALWAYS READING AND MEDITATING ON THE WORD OF GOD.

( Joshua 1:8 ) This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.

4. BY ALWAYS PRAYING TO GOD, EVEN WHEN WE DON'T NEED “BIG THINGS” IN OUR CHRISTIAN LIFE.

1 Chronicles 4:10 Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that thine hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me! And God granted him that which he requested.

( Hebrews 4:16 ) Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

5. BY ALWAYS FOLLOWING THE STEPS OF THE LORD JESUS TO FULFILL GOD'S WILL IN OUR LIVES

( I Peter 2:21 ) For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps:

6. BY ALWAYS WINNING THE LOST AT ANY COST, USING EVERY TIME AND OPPORTUNITY GOD GIVES YOU.

( I Corinthians 9:19-26 ) [19]For though I be free from all men, yet have I made myself servant unto all, that I might gain the more.

[20]And unto the Jews I became as a Jew, that I might gain the Jews; to them that are under the law, as under the law, that I might gain them that are under the law;

[21]To them that are without law, as without law, (being not without law to God, but under the law to Christ,) that I might gain them that are without law.

[22]To the weak became I as weak, that I might gain the weak: I am made all things to all men, that I might by all means save some.

7. BY ALWAYS SUPPORTING THE WORK OF THE LORD THROUGH TITHES AND OFFERING.

( II Corinthians 8:1-5 ) [1]Moreover, brethren, we do you to wit of the grace of God bestowed on the churches of Macedonia;

[2]How that in a great trial of affliction the abundance of their joy and their deep poverty abounded unto the riches of their liberality.

[3]For to their power, I bear record, yea, and beyond their power they were willing of themselves;

[4]Praying us with much intreaty that we would receive the gift, and take upon us the fellowship of the ministering to the saints.

[5]And this they did, not as we hoped, but first gave their own selves to the Lord, and unto us by the will of God.

* Paul gave a good commendation to the faithfulness of Philippians in giving and supporting the Missionaries of the Lord.

Philippians 4:15-16 [15]Now ye Philippians know also, that in the beginning of the gospel, when I departed from Macedonia, no church communicated with me as concerning giving and receiving, but ye only.

[16]For even in Thessalonica ye sent once and again unto my necessity.

* To God be the glory *
