HOW TO PUT JESUS CHRIST FIRST IN OUR CHRISTIAN LIFE?
( Matthew 6:33 ) But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and
all these things shall be added unto you.
1. WHEN CHRISTIANS
START THEIR DAY WITH READING AND MEDITATING ON THE WORD OF GOD, THEY PUT CHRIST
FIRST IN THEIR LIVES.
(Matthew 4:4) But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by
bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.
* Christians are allowed to talk to them from His Holy Words.
2. WHEN CHRISTIAN
GAVE TIME TO PRAY TO GOD, WE PUT CHRIST FIRST IN OUR LIVES.
(Matthew 6:6) But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when
thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father
which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.
* When Christians
choose to pray, it means they choose Christ to mediate with God the Father.
(1 Timothy 2:5) For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the
man Christ Jesus;
* Christ said
unto us, "For without me ye can do nothing."
( John 15:5 ) I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I
in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.
3. WHEN
CHRISTIANS WORSHIP GOD IN SPIRIT AND IN TRUTH, WE PUT CHRIST IN OUR LIVES.
( Acts 2:46-47 ) [46]And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple,
and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and
singleness of heart,
[47]Praising God, and having favour with all the
people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.
* The Lord Jesus
Christ is our prime model in worshipping God in spirit and in truth.
( John 17:1-4 ) [1]These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven,
and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may
glorify thee:
[2]As thou hast given him power over all flesh,
that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him.
[3]And this is life eternal, that they might
know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.
[4]I have glorified thee on the earth: I have
finished the work which thou gavest me to do.
4. WHEN
CHRISTIANS USED THEIR LIVES TO SERVE GOD, THEY PUT CHRIST FIRST IN THEIR LIVES.
( Acts 20:19-20 ) [19]Serving the Lord with all humility of mind, and with many
tears, and temptations, which befell me by the lying in wait of the Jews:
[20]And how I kept back nothing that was
profitable unto you, but have shewed you, and have taught you publickly, and
from house to house,
( Acts 20:24 ) But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear
unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which
I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.
5. WHEN
CHRISTIANS FOLLOW THE STEPS OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST TO THE LOST AT ANY COST AT ANY TIME, WE PUT CHRIST FIRST IN OUR LIVES.
( John 9:4-5 ) [4]I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day:
the night cometh, when no man can work.
[5]As long as I am in the world, I am the light
of the world.
* Christ's only burden is the salvation of lost sinners in this world.
( Matthew 9:35-36 ) [35]And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching
in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every
sickness and every disease among the people.
[36]But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved
with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as
sheep having no shepherd.
* To God be the
glory. *
