THE GREAT IMPACT OF THE WORD OF GOD IN THE LIVES OF THOSE WHO HEARD
IT

1 THESSALONIANS 2:13 “For this cause
also thank we God without ceasing, because, when ye received the word of God
which ye heard of us, ye received [it] not [as] the word of men, but as it is
in truth, the word of God, which effectually worketh also in you that believe.”
Panimula:
a. Manghang-mangha si
Pablo sa mga taga-Tesalonica dahil tinanggap nila ang Salita ng Diyos hindi
bilang salita ng tao, kundi bilang tunay na salita ng katotohanan.
b. Sinabi rin ni Pablo na
ang Salita ng Diyos ay mabisang gumagawa at kumikilos sa buhay ng bawat taong
sumasampalataya at nakikinig nito.
c. Ang Salita ng Diyos ay ang
mismong salita ng katotohanan na nagpapalaya.
JOHN 8:32 “And ye
shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”
MGA DAKILANG
BUNGA AT MAGAGAWA NG SALITA NG DIYOS:
1. THE MULTITUDE OF LOST
PEOPLE WERE PRICKED IN THE HEART AND SAVED
(Maraming makasalanan ang nasaling ang puso at
naligtas)
ACTS 2:37 “Now when they
heard [this], they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the
rest of the apostles, Men [and] brethren, what shall we do?”
ACTS 2:41 “Then
they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were
added [unto them] about three thousand souls.”
a. Sa
pakikinig ng Salita ng Diyos, ang makasalanan ay nagkakaroon ng pananampalataya
kay Kristo.
ROMANS 10:17 “So then faith
[cometh] by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”
b. Napakahalaga na
magkaroon ng tagapamahayag ng Salita ng Diyos.
ROMANS 10:14 “How then shall
they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in
him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?”
c. Ipangaral at ipahayag
ang Salita ng Diyos sa kapanahunan at sa hindi kapanahunan.
2TIMOTHY 4:2 “Preach the
word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all
longsuffering and doctrine.”
2. THE MOVEMENT OF THE
WORD OF GOD INSPIRED THEM TO SERVE THE TRUE AND LIVING GOD
(Ang pagkilos ng Salita ng Diyos ang nag-akay sa
kanila upang maglingkod sa tunay at buhay na Diyos)
1 THESSALONIANS 1:9 “For they
themselves shew of us what manner of entering in we had unto you, and how ye
turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God;”
a. Ang mga Kristiyano sa
Tesalonica ay naging masigasig na tagapaglingkod dahil sa Salita ng Diyos.
1THESSALONIANS 1:3 “Remembering
without ceasing your work of faith, and labour of love, and patience of hope in
our Lord Jesus Christ, in the sight of God and our Father;”
b. Sila ay naging
mabubuting tagasunod ni Kristo sa kabila ng mga kapighatian.
1THESSALONIANS 1:6 “And ye
became followers of us, and of the Lord, having received the word in much
affliction, with joy of the Holy Ghost:”
c. Sila ay naging huwaran
at naging epektibo sa pag-aakay ng mga kaluluwa.
1THESSALONIANS 1:7-8 “So that ye
were ensamples to all that believe in Macedonia and Achaia.
1Thes 1:8 For from you sounded out the word of the Lord not only in Macedonia
and Achaia, but also in every place your faith to God-ward is spread abroad; so
that we need not to speak any thing.”
3. THE
MAIN PURPOSE OF THE WORD OF GOD IS TO BUILD STRONG FAITH IN GOD
(Ang pangunahing layunin ng Salita ng Diyos ay
bigyan sila ng matatag na pananampalataya)
ROMANS 10:17 “So then faith
[cometh] by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”
a. Ang mga lingkod sa
Lumang Tipan ay nagtagumpay sa mga pagsubok dahil sa kanilang pananampalataya.
HEBREWS 11:29-32 “By faith
they passed through the Red sea as by dry [land]: which the Egyptians assaying
to do were drowned.
Heb 11:30 By faith the walls of Jericho fell down, after they were compassed
about seven days.
Heb 11:31 By faith the harlot Rahab perished not with them that believed not,
when she had received the spies with peace.
Heb 11:32 And what shall I more say? for the time would fail me to tell of
Gedeon, and [of] Barak, and [of] Samson, and [of] Jephthae; [of] David also,
and Samuel, and [of] the prophets:”
b. Ang Salita ng Diyos ang
makapangyarihang instrumento kung bakit nalikha ang buong sanlibutan.
HEBREWS 11:3 “Through faith
we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things
which are seen were not made of things which do appear.”
c. Ang Salita ng Diyos ang
dahilan kung bakit ang buhay nina Abel, Enoch, Noah, at Abraham ay naging
kalugod-lugod sa Kanya.
HEBREWS 11:3-8 “Through faith
we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things
which are seen were not made of things which do appear.
Heb 11:4 By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain,
by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his
gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh.
Heb 11:5 By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was
not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had
this testimony, that he pleased God.
Heb 11:6 But without faith [it is] impossible to please [him]: for he that
cometh to God must believe that he is, and [that] he is a rewarder of them that
diligently seek him.
Heb 11:7 By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved
with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he
condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith.
Heb 11:8 By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he
should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing
whither he went.”
4. THE
MANIFOLD CHARACTERISTICS OF THE WORD OF GOD THAT BENEFIT BELIEVERS
(Ang iba't ibang katangian ng Salita ng Diyos na
mapapakinabangan ng mga Kristiyano)
HEBREWS 4:12 “For the
word of God [is] quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword,
piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and
marrow, and [is] a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.”
a. Katulad ito ng isang
matalim na tabak na bumabago at sumusuri sa kaibuturan ng ating buhay.
b. Katulad ito ng salamin
upang makita, masuri, at maitama ang mga karumihan sa ating buhay.
JAMES 1:22-24 “But be
ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.
Jas 1:23 For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a
man beholding his natural face in a glass:
Jas 1:24 For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway
forgetteth what manner of man he was.”
c. Ito ang espirituwal na
pagkain na nagbibigay-buhay at tumutulong sa ating paglago.
MATTHEW 4:4 “But he
answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by
every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.”
Pangwakas:
Totoong may dakila at malaking
magagawa ang Salita ng Diyos sa ating buhay Kristiyano kung atin itong
papakinggan, iingatan, at susundin.
PSALMS 119:105 “Thy word [is]
a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.”
PSALMS 119:11 “Thy word
have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.”
