[H] [PREACHING LESSON 19:] WHEN IS THE TIME FOR A CHRISTIAN TO LICENSE A SIN THAT WOULD DESTROY THEIR SPIRITUAL LIFE?

(Kailan ang oras para sa isang Kristiyano na mabigyan ng lisensya ang isang kasalanan na sisira sa kanilang espirituwal na buhay)

ROMANS 6:16-17 “Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?
Rom 6:17 But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you.”

Panimula:

a.     Isang maliwanag na katotohanan na ang Kristiyano ay hindi na alipin ng kasalanan. Ngunit bakit marami pa ring Kristiyano ang patuloy na namumuhay sa kasalanan. Totoong sinisira ng diyablo ang kanilang buhay espiritwal.

ROMANS 6:6-7 “Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with [him], that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.
Rom 6:7 For he that is dead is freed from sin.”

b.    Nagsasabi ang Salita ng Diyos na ang ating lumang pagkatao ay napako na kasama ni Kristo sa krus kaya hindi na tayo alipin ng kasalanan.

Mga mahahalagang katotohanan sa araling ito:

1. WHEN CHRISTIANS YIELD THEMSELVES TO BE THE SERVANTS OF SIN

(Kapag ang mga Kristiyano ay nagbigay ng kanilang sarili upang maging mga alipin ng kasalanan)

a.     Yield – to bow, to give in, to submit, or to surrender

b.    Maraming Kristiyano sa Corinto na ganito ang uri ng kanilang pamumuhay: nakikiayon na sila sa kasalanan.

1CORINTHIANS 6:9-11 “Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,
1Cor 6:10 Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.
1Cor 6:11 And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.”

c.      Isang malungkot na hatol ni Pablo na sa ganitong uri ng masamang pamumuhay ay nagpapakita lamang ng buhay na hindi ligtas at hindi magmamana ng kaharian ng Diyos.

2. WHEN CHRISTIANS YIELD THEMSELVES TO SATAN’S STRATEGY TO DESTROY THEM

(Kapag ang mga Kristiyano ay nagbigay ng kanilang sarili sa patibong ni Satanas upang puksain sila)

JOHN 10:10 “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have [it] more abundantly.”

a.     Laging handa ang diyablo na sirain ang buhay ng Kristiyano.

b.    Ang pakay lagi ni Satanas ay tuksuhin ang Kristiyano upang patuloy na magkasala sa Diyos.

MATTHEW 4:1 “Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil.”

c.      Ang layunin ng diyablo ay dayain, sirain, patayin at nakawin ang ating kagalakan bilang Kristiyano.

3. WHEN CHRISTIANS YIELD THEMSELVES TO SUBMIT THEIR FLESH’S DESIRE FOR SIN

(Kapag ang mga Kristiyano ay nagbigay ng kanilang sarili na ayunan ang pagnanasa ng kanilang laman sa kasalanan)

JAMES 1:14-15 “But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.
Jas 1:15 Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.”

a.     Sinaway ni Pablo ang mga Kristiyano sa Corinto na huwag makipamatok ng kabilan sa mga hindi mananampalataya.

2CORINTHIANS 6:14-15 “Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?
2Cor 6:15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?”

b.    Ang pamumuhay sa laman ay pamumuhay ng mga anak ng pagsuway at anak ng kagalitan.

EPHESIANS 2:2-3 “Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:
Eph 2:3 Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.”

c.      Mahigpit na pinag-uutos ng Diyos na humiwalay tayo sa kanila.

2CORINTHIANS 6:17-18 “Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean [thing]; and I will receive you,
2Cor 6:18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.”

4. WHEN CHRISTIANS YIELD THEMSELVES TO SURRENDER IN A SPIRITUAL BATTLE

(Kapag ang mga Kristiyano ay nagbigay ng kanilang sarili na sumuko na sa isang espiritwal na labanan)

EPHESIANS 6:10-12 “Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
Eph 6:11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
Eph 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high [places].”

a.     Kailangan natin ang kalakasan na nagmumula sa Diyos.

b.    Mas malakas at mas makapangyarihan ang ating Diyos kaysa sa ating kaaway na diyablo.

JEREMIAH 32:17-18 “Ah Lord God! behold, thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy great power and stretched out arm, [and] there is nothing too hard for thee:  
Jer 32:18 Thou shewest lovingkindness unto thousands, and recompensest the iniquity of the fathers into the bosom of their children after them: the Great, the Mighty God, the Lord of hosts, [is] his name,”

c.      Nagbigay ang Diyos sa atin ng buong kagayakan at kalasag upang mangakatagal at magtagumpay tayo.

Þ   Bigkis ng katotohan; sakbat na baluti ng katuwiran; panyapak na paghahanda ng ebanghelyo ng kapayaan; kalasag ng pananampalataya; turbante ng kaligtasan; at tabak ng Espiritu.

EPHESIANS 6:13-17 “Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
Eph 6:14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
Eph 6:15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
Eph 6:16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
Eph 6:17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

d.    Ang panalangin ang pinakamabisang panlaban natin kay Satanas.

EPHESIANS 6:18 “Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;”

Pangwakas:

Ang hamon ni Pablo sa bawat Kristiyano ay huwag sumuko, huwag makiayon, at huwag payagan na ang kasalanan ay manaig sa buhay natin.

ROMANS 6:17 “But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you.”

Pagpalain kayong lahat ng Diyos.
