WHAT BORN AGAIN IS NOT, AND WHAT BORN AGAIN IS, BASED IN THE BIBLE?
John 3:6-7 “That which
is born of the flesh is flesh, and which is born of the Spirit is spirit. v.7 Marvel not that I said unto thee; ye
must be born again."
INTRODUCTION:
a. "Born again" is a biblical term for the salvation of the soul of a sinner who received
Jesus Christ as the Lord and Savior of their life.
b. To
be born again is to be born in the family of God; this is spiritual birth, not
according to the will of our parents in the flesh but according to the will of
God in heaven, as what the Bible says.
c. So
now that you have received the Lord Jesus Christ as the Lord and Savior of your
life, now you can claim and consider yourself a born-again Christian. You're
already a saved person and belong to the family of God and now can be called
saints and believers of Christ.
(John 1:12-13) Jn 1:12 But
as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God,
[even] to them that believe on his name:
Jn 1:13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the
will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
(Romans 10:9) Rom 10:9
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in
thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
(1 Corinthians 1:2) 1Cor 1:2
Unto the church of God which is at Corinth, to them that are sanctified in
Christ Jesus, called [to be] saints, with all that in every place call upon the
name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both theirs and ours:
Now
what born Christian is not, which others believed but is not based on the Bible?
1. Being born again is not changing your bad attitudes, and now you become a better person.
2. Being born again is not changing your old religion into another newfound religion.
3. Being born again is not changing your old rituals into new spiritual practices in life.
4. Being born again is not being prosperous now and leaving your former poverty life.
To be
born again, we experience hearing the gospel of Christ and believing and enjoying
salvation in Christ, and that's how I've experienced it as a born-again Christian.
Thank you, Lord; this is a great blessing in my life.
(Romans1:16) "For I
am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto
salvation, to every one that believeth; to the Jew first and also to the Greek.
* God
bless you all always. *
