WHY DOES THE LORD JESUS CHRIST SEEK EVEN JUST ONE LOST SHEEP?
Luke 15:4 "What
man of you,having an hundred sheep, if he lose one them,doth it not leave the
ninety and nine, in the wilderness, and go after that which is lost, until He
find it."
a. The
Great Shepherd is the type of the Lord Jesus Christ who seeks the one lost
sheep.
b. The
lost sheep is the type of the lost person (like you and me, a sinner), and the
Lord Jesus Christ valued you and me.

Things About Seeking Just One Lost Sheep
1. Because
of its worth.
(Mark 8:36) "For
what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own
soul?"

Because of its wickedness.
(Ephesians 2:1-3) "And
you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins; v.2: Wherein in
time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the
prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of
disobedience v.3 Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in
the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind;
and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others."

Because of its way of going.
(Matthew 7:13-14) "Enter
ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that
leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
v.14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the
way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it."

Because of its Way Out.
(John 14:6) "Jesus
saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the
Father, but by me."
The
Lord Jesus Christ and His angels are rejoicing in heaven for just one soul
saved. Amen and amen!!
Luke 15:7 "I say unto you, that
likewise joy shall be in heaven, over one sinner repenteth, more than ninety
and nine just person; which need no repentance." Amen and amen...
