( Mark 16:15 ) And he said
unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
Why do
Christians need to GO and preach the Gospel of Christ?
a. The operation GO is the ministry of the church to encourage all church members to
be involved in winning. In doing so, we can be assured that unreached
people will get to hear the gospel of Christ.
b. Operation:
GO should always be the main business of the church because it deals with the
most important goal and desire of God for all mankind.
( I Timothy 2:4 ) Who will
have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.
4
Reasons why we need to GO:
1. To fulfill the great commission of the Lord Jesus Christ.
"Go
ye therefore into all the world..."
Other church ministries, such as choir, Christian school, building program, youth ministry, etc., are all good and important, and we need these ministries to
continue, but our Lord has issued a command, "Go," and no true
believer can take His order lightly. We must dedicate ourselves fully—time,
talent, and treasure—to the fulfillment of the Great Commission.
2. To perform our calling as ambassadors for
Christ.
( II Corinthians 5:20 ) Now then we
are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in
Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.
What a
great privilege it is for Christians to be God's representatives. Though we are
not worthy to be one, He had chosen and appointed us to be His ambassadors.
3. To make partnership with God as His co-laborers
in His vineyard.
( I Corinthians 3:9 ) For we are
labourers together with God: ye are God's husbandry, ye are God's building.
Never
have the spiritual fields been so ripe for harvest. We dare not miss this
unprecedented opportunity. There are
people all around us, and all around the world, who are dying every day and
heading into a Christ-less eternity.
We, as
Christ's co-laborers, need to GO and share the Gospel of Christ....
DO IT
NOW before the harvest ends.
4. To
invest great riches in heaven by reaching more precious souls
( I Thessalonians 2:19-20 ) 19 For what
is our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? Are not even ye in the presence of
our Lord Jesus Christ at his coming?
20 For ye are our glory and joy.
Christians, If you haven't been telling everyone
you know about Jesus up until this point, don't you think it's about time, we
started telling them before its to late, to tell them?
What
if the Lord were to come today—would you be able to have Him say, "Well
done, thou good and faithful servant?"
God
bless you all always.*
