GREATER BENEFITS IN WINNING SOUL THAN IN CATCHING FISH
(Mark 1:17) "And Jesus said unto
them, Come after Me and I will make you to become fishers of men."
Introduction:
a.
Christ used to encourage His disciples to follow Him and leave their good
business of fishing and give them a much greater job: to win lost people.
b. Why is there a greater benefit in soul soulwinning than fishing? Simply because fishing is earthly and temporal, while winning souls is eternal and apparently a
spiritual business of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen and amen!!!
5
Greater Benefits in Soulwinning Than Fishing
1.
Christ is our employer in this great business.
(Mark 1:17) "And
Jesus said unto them, Come ye after me, and I will make you to become fishers
of men."
Oh,
what a great blessing that I am working with my Savior. He is my boss, and I am
one of His employees in His heavenly business. Wow, this is a great privilege to
work with Him. Amen!!!
2.
Christ will treat me as His best friend and not a servant anymore.
(John15:15) "Henceforth
I will call you not servants, for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth,
but I will call you friends; for all things that I have heard of the Father, I
have made known unto you."
Wow
and amen and thank you, Lord. You treat me as your new best friend because I
valued and won lost people, and it's a great privilege, honor, and blessing in
my life. Amen!!!
3.
Christ has chosen and ordained you and me in His heavenly business.
(John 15:16) "Ye
have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go
and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: .........."
Thank you,
Lord. Even if I'm not worthy, You have entrusted me with this holy and heavenly
business of Yours. This is a great spiritual benefit I've enjoyed. Amen!!!
4.
Christ gave me the opportunity to ask anything and promised to answer me.
(John 15:16) "...
that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in My Name He will give it you.
"
Oh,
this is a great blessing and privilege on the part of the Christians, that all
our prayers were promised to be answered. Amen!!!
5.
Christ will crown you and me with the crown of rejoicing one day.
(l Thessalonians 2:19-20) "For
what is our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? Are not even ye in the
presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at his coming? For ye are our glory."
This
is a very exciting and thrilling moment for all faithful soulwinners.
Christ
encouraged and called us in His great and heavenly business to be a faithful
fisher of the lost people, a greater job than earthly fishing.
* God
bless you all always. *
