[FF] [PREACHING LESSON 9:] CHRIST MULTIPLE POWER PROMISE TO GIVE TO GOD'S PEOPLE

 CHRIST MULTIPLE POWER PROMISE TO GIVE TO GOD'S PEOPLE

(Matthew 28:18) And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.

1. CHRIST GIVES POWER TO CHRISTIANS TO OVERCOME THE SIN PROBLEM.

( Romans 6:6-13 ) [6]Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.

[7]For he that is dead is freed from sin.

[8]Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him:

[9]Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him.

[10]For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God.

[11]Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.

[12]Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.

[13]Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.

2. CHRIST GIVES POWER TO CHRISTIANS TO HELP US TO BE FRUITFUL AND EFFECTIVE IN SERVING GOD.

( Acts 1: 8 ) But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

* ( John 16:13 ) Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.

3. CHRIST GIVES POWER TO CHRISTIANS TO GO TO THE REGIONS BEYOND AND SHARE THE GOSPEL OF CHRIST WITH LOST PEOPLE IN THE WORLD.

( Matthew 28:18-20 ) [18]And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.

[19]Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

[20]Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

4. CHRIST GIVES POWER TO CHRISTIANS TO DEFEAT OUR SPIRITUAL ENEMY, THE DEVIL.

( Ephesians 6:10-18 ) [10]Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.

[11]Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

[12]For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

[13]Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

[14]Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;

[15]And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;

[16]Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

[17]And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

[18]Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

5. CHRIST GIVES POWER TO CHRISTIANS TO PARTNER WITH GOD THE FATHER AS CO-LABORERS WITH HIM.

( 1 Corinthians 3:8-10 ) [8]Now he that planteth and he that watereth are one: and every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labour.

[9]For we are labourers together with God: ye are God's husbandry, ye are God's building.

[10]According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon.

6. CHRIST GIVES POWER TO CHRISTIANS TO BE VICTORIOUS IN THE MINISTRY OF THE LORD.

( I Corinthians 15:7-58 ) [57]But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

[58]Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.

* God bless you all always. *
