WHAT GIVES EXCITEMENT TO GOD'S PEOPLE INSIDE THE LOCAL CHURCH?
(1 Thessalonians
5:24) Faithful
is he that calleth you, who also will do it.
(Psalms 89:1) I will sing of the mercies of the LORD for
ever: with my mouth will I make known thy faithfulness to all generations.
(Lamentations
3:21-23) [21]This I
recall to my mind, therefore have I hope.
[22]It is of the LORD'S mercies
that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.
[23]They are new every morning:
great is thy faithfulness.
(2 Timothy 2:13) If we believe not, yet he abideth
faithful: he cannot deny himself.
* Introduction:
* Our Faithful God calleth you and He deserve our faithfulness to Him
and to the ministry He entrusted to us and our faithfulness will not in
vain
( I Corinthians
15:58 ) Therefore,
my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work
of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.
( Hebrews 6:10 ) For God is not unrighteous to
forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in
that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.
1. THE FAITHFUL GOD THAT CALLETH GIVES EXCITEMENT TO WORSHIP
HIM IN HIS TEMPLE.
( Psalms 122:1 ) [1] I was glad when they said unto
me, Let us go into the house of the LORD.
. Because they are excited to worship the Lord in spirit and truth.
* We are excited to worship God in His Temple to worship Him in spirit
and in truth.
( John 4:22-23 ) [22]Ye worship ye know not what:
we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews.
[23]But the hour cometh, and now
is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth:
for the Father seeketh such to worship
* Jerusalem Church are good model in faithfulness to worship God in His
Temple.
(Acts 2:46-47) [46]And they, continuing daily
with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat
their meat with gladness and singleness of heart,
[47]Praising God, and having
favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as
should be saved.
* King David was known to be excited to worship in His Temple to praise
and thank God.
( Psalms 118:1-8 ) [1]O give thanks unto the LORD;
for he is good: because his mercy endureth for ever.
[2]Let Israel now say, that his
mercy endureth for ever.
[3]Let the house of Aaron now say,
that his mercy endureth for ever.
[4]Let them now that fear the LORD
say, that his mercy endureth for ever.
[5]I called upon the LORD in
distress: the LORD answered me, and set me in a large place.
[6]The LORD is on my side; I will
not fear: what can man do unto me?
[7]The LORD taketh my part with
them that help me: therefore shall I see my desire upon them that hate me.
[8]It is better to trust in the
LORD than to put confidence in man.
2. THE FAITHFUL GOD WHO CALLETH YOU GIVES YOU EXCITEMENT
TO SERVE HIM TOGETHER WITH OUR FAMILY.
( Joshua 24:15 ) And if it seem evil unto you to
serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which
your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of
the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve
the LORD.
* Joshua is our model in serving the Lord together with his family. The
Church are composed of many groups of Christian families worshipping and
serving God in God’s Temple.
* God love to see that our Church families inside the local Church are
united praising and worshipping God during Lord’s Day and other worship days in
our Church.
(Acts 2:42,44-47) [42]And they continued stedfastly
in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in
prayers.
[44]And all that believed were
together, and had all things common;
[45]And sold their possessions and
goods, and parted them to all men, as every man had need.
[46]And they, continuing daily
with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat
their meat with gladness and singleness of heart,
[47]Praising God, and having
favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as
should be saved.
3. THE FAITHFUL GOD THAT CALLETH YOU GIVES YOU EXCITEMENT
TO HEAR AND LISTEN TO THE PREACHING OF GOD'S WORDS.
( Acts 20: 7 ) And upon the first day of the
week, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul preached unto them,
ready to depart on the morrow; and continued his speech until midnight.
a. The blessings of hearing the preaching of God's words.
( Psalms 1:1-3 ) [1]Blessed is the man that walketh
not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor
sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
[2]But his delight is in the law
of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.
[3]And he shall be like a tree
planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season;
his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
( Psalms 19:7-11 ) [7]The law of the LORD is perfect,
converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple.
[8]The statutes of the LORD are
right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening
the eyes.
[9]The fear of the LORD is clean,
enduring for ever: the judgments of the LORD are true and righteous altogether.
* The Words of God always strengthen and cleans us and revived us in our
Christian life
( Psalms 19:7-11 ) [7]The law of the LORD is perfect,
converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple.
[8]The statutes of the LORD are
right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening
the eyes.
[9]The fear of the LORD is clean,
enduring for ever: the judgments of the LORD are true and righteous altogether.
[10]More to be desired are they
than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.
[11]Moreover by them is thy
servant warned: and in keeping of them there is great reward.
4. THE FAITHFUL GOD WHO CALLETH YOU GIVES YOU STRONG AND
FAITHFUL CHRISTIANS THAT ARE READY TO HELP YOU IN THE MINISTRY OF THE LORD
(2 Timothy 2:1-2) [1]Thou therefore, my son, be
strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.
[2]And the things that thou hast
heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who
shall be able to teach others also.
Even the legions of Angels are excited and rejoicing for precious souls
being saved.
( Luke 15: 7 ) I say unto you, that likewise joy
shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and
nine just persons, which need no repentance.
The Church in Antioch are rejoicing for many precious souls being saved
in their soulwinning effort in their community.
* ( Acts 11: 20-24 )
[20]And
some of them were men of Cyprus and Cyrene, which, when they were come to
Antioch, spake unto the Grecians, preaching the Lord Jesus.
[21]And the hand of the Lord was
with them: and a great number believed, and turned unto the Lord.
[22]Then tidings of these things
came unto the ears of the church which was in Jerusalem: and they sent forth
Barnabas, that he should go as far as Antioch.
[23]Who, when he came, and had
seen the grace of God, was glad, and exhorted them all, that with purpose of
heart they would cleave unto the Lord.
[24]For he was a good man, and
full of the Holy Ghost and of faith: and much people was added unto the Lord.
( Ephesians 4:11-16
) [11]And he
gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some,
pastors and teachers;
[12]For the perfecting of the
saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:
[13]Till we all come in the unity
of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto
the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:
[14]That we henceforth be no more
children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by
the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to
deceive;
[15]But speaking the truth in
love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:
[16]From whom the whole body fitly
joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to
the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body
unto the edifying of itself in love.
5. THE FAITHFUL GOD THAT CALLETH GIVES EXCITEMENT FOR
MANY PRECIOUS SOULS BEING SAVED IN OUR SOULWINNING DRIVE IN THE MINISTRY OF THE
LORD.
* ( Acts 2: 41 ) Then they that gladly received his
word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three
thousand souls.
* The Lord Jesus Christ is our prime model in loving and winning lost
people anywhere we go.
( John 9:4-5 ) [4]I must work the works of him
that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.
[5]As long as I am in the world, I
am the light of the world.
( Acts 5:17-29 ) Jerusalem Church are very obedient
and courageous in winning lost people inspite there threats in their.
( Acts 5:17-21 ) [17]Then the high priest rose up,
and all they that were with him, (which is the sect of the Sadducees,) and were
filled with indignation,
[18]And laid their hands on the
apostles, and put them in the common prison.
[20]Go, stand and speak in the
temple to the people all the words of this life.
[21]And when they heard that, they
entered into the temple early in the morning, and taught. But the high priest
came, and they that were with him, and called the council together, and all the
senate of the children of Israel, and sent to the prison to have them brought.
* They were hindered but no body can stop them to win lost people but
still they continued winning lost people
( Acts 5:26-29 ) [26]Then went the captain with the
officers, and brought them without violence: for they feared the people, lest
they should have been stoned.
[27]And when they had brought
them, they set them before the council: and the high priest asked them,
[28]Saying, Did not we straitly
command you that ye should not teach in this name? and, behold, ye have filled
Jerusalem with your doctrine, and intend to bring this man's blood upon us.
[29]Then Peter and the other
apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men.
* Growth of the continued dynamically and multitude got that cannot able
to number their fruits of many souls being saved
( Acts 6:4-7 ) [4]But we will give ourselves
continually to prayer, and to the ministry of the word.
[5]And the saying pleased the
whole multitude: and they chose Stephen, a man full of faith and of the Holy
Ghost, and Philip, and Prochorus, and Nicanor, and Timon, and Parmenas, and
Nicolas a proselyte of Antioch:
[6]Whom they set before the
apostles: and when they had prayed, they laid their hands on them.
[7]And the word of God increased;
and the number of the disciples multiplied in Jerusalem greatly; and a great
company of the priests were obedient to the faith.
6. FAITHFUL GOD THAT CALLETH YOU GIVES YOU EXCITEMENT AT
THE SOON COMING OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST.
( 1 Thessalonians
4:13-18 ) [13]But I
would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep,
that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.
[14]For if we believe that Jesus
died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with
him.
[15]For this we say unto you by
the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the
Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.
[16]For the Lord himself shall
descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the
trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first
[17]Then we which are alive and
remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in
the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
[18]Wherefore comfort one another
with these words.
a. Let's help the hopeless and helpless to rescue to be saved.
( Jude 1:23 ) And others save with fear, pulling
them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.
( II Peter 3:9 ) The Lord is not slack concerning
his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not
willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
b. We know Jesus is coming soon let’s walk right before God and man.
( Colossians 1:10 ) That ye might walk worthy of the
Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in
the knowledge of God;
c. Lets serve the Lord with faithfulness.
( Philippians 1:5-6
) [5]For
your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now;
[6]Being confident of this very
thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the
day of Jesus Christ:
d. Let’s encourage other weak Christians to be strong in their Christian
life.
( Ephesians 4:11-16
) [11]And he
gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some,
pastors and teachers;
[12]For the perfecting of the
saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:
[13]Till we all come in the unity
of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto
the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:
* God bless you all always *
