[FF] [PREACHING LESSON 2:] WHY THE CHURCH SHOULD THINK POSITIVE AND MOVE FORWARD TO FULFILL THE GREAT COMMISSION OF JESUS CHRIST?

WHY THE CHURCH SHOULD THINK POSITIVE AND MOVE FORWARD TO FULFILL THE GREAT COMMISSION OF JESUS CHRIST?

( Matthew 28:18-20 ) [18]And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.

[19]Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

[20]Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

* INTRODUCTION:

a. The Lord Jesus Christ established the local to reach the world by the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. The only other way to accomplish the very goal of Christ to save all people is by planting more missions in the region beyond and proclaiming the gospel of Christ.

( Romans 1:16-16 ) [15]So, as much as in me is, I am ready to preach the gospel to you that are at Rome also.

[16]For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

b. Our enemy, the Devil, will do his best to give hindrances to the Church of Christ as our greatest enemy of the gospel of Christ.

( 2 Timothy 4:1-4 ) [1]I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom;

[2]Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.

[3]For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;

[4]And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

5 GREAT REASONS WHY THEY SHOULD ALWAYS BE POSITIVE AND MOVE FORWARD TO FULFILL THE GREAT COMMISSION OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST.

1. BECAUSE THE LORD JESUS CHRIST DID IT TO BE POSITIVE AND MOVE FORWARD TO FULFILL THE GREAT COMMISSION.

( John 9:4-5 )  [4]I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.

[5]As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.

a. Christ encourages His disciples to look on the fields, for they are white already to harvest.

( John 4:35 ) Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest.

b. He trained all His disciples to be good and effective soulwinners and commanded them to go win lost people.

( Luke 10:1-3 ) [1]After these things the Lord appointed other seventy also, and sent them two and two before his face into every city and place, whither he himself would come.

[2]Therefore said he unto them, The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth labourers into his harvest.

[3]Go your ways: behold, I send you forth as lambs among wolves.

2. BECAUSE THAT IS THE VERY REASON WHY JESUS CHRIST ESTABLISHED HIS CHURCH ON THIS SINFUL WORLD.

( Matthew 16:18-19 )  [18]And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

[19]And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

* ( Luke 19:10 ) For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.

* This is the very reason why Christ came down to seek that which was lost.

* Jerusalem Church also follows the steps of the Lord Jesus Christ to preach the gospel of Christ in every community, and many precious souls are being saved.

( Acts 2:36-41 ) [36]Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ.

[37]Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?

[38]Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

[39]For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.

[40]And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation.

[41]Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls

* The Church at Antioch also preached the gospel of Christ even though they were persecuted, and many precious souls got saved.

( Acts 11:19-26 ) [19]Now they which were scattered abroad upon the persecution that arose about Stephen travelled as far as Phenice, and Cyprus, and Antioch, preaching the word to none but unto the Jews only.

[20]And some of them were men of Cyprus and Cyrene, which, when they were come to Antioch, spake unto the Grecians, preaching the Lord Jesus.

[21]And the hand of the Lord was with them: and a great number believed, and turned unto the Lord.

[22]Then tidings of these things came unto the ears of the church which was in Jerusalem: and they sent forth Barnabas, that he should go as far as Antioch.

[23]Who, when he came, and had seen the grace of God, was glad, and exhorted them all, that with purpose of heart they would cleave unto the Lord.

[24]For he was a good man, and full of the Holy Ghost and of faith: and much people was added unto the Lord.

[25]Then departed Barnabas to Tarsus, for to seek Saul:

[26]And when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioch. And it came to pass, that a whole year they assembled themselves with the church, and taught much people. And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch.

* The Church grew dynamically because of the continuous evangelistic efforts of the local church in the time of the Jerusalem Church.

( Acts 6:4-7 ) [4]But we will give ourselves continually to prayer, and to the ministry of the word.

[5]And the saying pleased the whole multitude: and they chose Stephen, a man full of faith and of the Holy Ghost, and Philip, and Prochorus, and Nicanor, and Timon, and Parmenas, and Nicolas a proselyte of Antioch:

[6]Whom they set before the apostles: and when they had prayed, they laid their hands on them.

[7]And the word of God increased; and the number of the disciples multiplied in Jerusalem greatly; and a great company of the priests were obedient to the faith.

3. BECAUSE THE ENEMY, THE DEVIL, WILL DO HIS BEST TO DECEIVE THE SINNERS, AND MANY WILL GO TO HELL FOREVER AND EVER.

( IICorinthians 11: 13-15 ) [13]For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.

[14]And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.

[15]Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.

( II Timothy 4:1-5 ) [1]I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom;

[2]Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.

[3]For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;

[4]And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

[5]But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.

* The Christians should do the job of winning lost people double time, even if our enemy will hinder us in winning more lost people.

* Jerusalem Church was very courageous and strong and did double time in winning lost people in their time.

( Acts 5:17-21 ) [17]Then the high priest rose up, and all they that were with him, (which is the sect of the Sadducees,) and were filled with indignation,

[18]And laid their hands on the apostles, and put them in the common prison.

[19]But the angel of the Lord by night opened the prison doors, and brought them forth, and said,

[20]Go, stand and speak in the temple to the people all the words of this life.

[21]And when they heard that, they entered into the temple early in the morning, and taught. But the high priest came, and they that were with him, and called the council together, and all the senate of the children of Israel, and sent to the prison to have them brought.

* The Christians are very courageous to face the challenges in winning lost people.

( Acts 5:26-29 ) [26]Then went the captain with the officers, and brought them without violence: for they feared the people, lest they should have been stoned.

[27]And when they had brought them, they set them before the council: and the high priest asked them,

[28]Saying, Did not we straitly command you that ye should not teach in this name? and, behold, ye have filled Jerusalem with your doctrine, and intend to bring this man's blood upon us.

[29]Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men.

5. BECAUSE GOD THE FATHER DOES NOT WANT THAT ANY SHOULD PERISH IN HELL FOREVER.

( II Peter 3:9 ) The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

* God commanded Christians to rescue hopeless and helpless lost people.

( Jude 1:23 ) And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.

* The Lord Jesus Christ prayed and desired that all might be saved.

( 1Timothy 2:4 ) Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.

* God bless you all always. *
