[F6] GOD HATH GIVEN THE CHURCH AN OVERCOMING FAITH

 

1JOHN 4:4-5 “Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.

1Jn 4:5 They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them.”

 

* Introduction.

a.Nagtuturo ang Banal na Kasulatan na ang iglesya ay grupo ng mga tao na binili ng banal na dugo ni Hesus. Sila ay mga makasalanang nagsisi at nanampalataya kay Kristo Hesus. Sila ay mga ligtas at sumunod sa tubig ng bautismo.

ACTS 20:28 “Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.”

ACTS 2:41 “Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added [unto them] about three thousand souls.”

b. Ang iglesya lokal ay mga taong naipanganak na muli ng Diyos. Sila ay dumadaig sa sanlibutan.

1. THE FAITH THAT OVERCOMES THE GREAT PERSECUTION AND PROBLEM OF THE CHURCH

 

JOHN 17:13-15 “And now come I to thee; and these things I speak in the world, that they might have my joy fulfilledæ in themselves.

Jn 17:14 I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.

Jn 17:15 I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil.”    

a. Nagbigay ang Panginoong Hesus ng babala sa mga Kristiyano na sila rin ay kapopootan ng sanlibutan katulad Niya.

b. Ipinalangin ng Panginoong Hesus ang mga Kristiyano na ingatan sila sa masama.

JOHN17:15 I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil.

c. Sa panahon ng pag-uusig sa mga Kristiyano, ang Diyos ang ating saklolo at Siyang nag-iingat sa iglesya lokal sa panahon ng kagipitan.

ACTS 5:17-29 The same followed Paul and us, and cried, saying, These men are the servants of the most high God, which shew unto us the way of salvation.
Acts 16:18 And this did she many days. But Paul, being grieved, turned and said to the spirit, I command thee in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her. And he came out the same hour.
Acts 16:19 And when her masters saw that the hope of their gains was gone, they caught Paul and Silas, and drew [them] into the marketplace unto the rulers,
Acts 16:20 And brought them to the magistrates, saying, These men, being Jews, do exceedingly trouble our city,
Acts 16:21 And teach customs, which are not lawful for us to receive, neither to observe, being Romans.
Acts 16:22 And the multitude rose up together against them: and the magistrates rent off their clothes, and commanded to beat [them].
Acts 16:23 And when they had laid many stripes upon them, they cast [them] into prison, charging the jailor to keep them safely:
Acts 16:24 Who, having received such a charge, thrust them into the inner prison, and made their feet fast in the stocks.
Acts 16:25 And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them.
Acts 16:26 And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one’s bands were loosed.
Acts 16:27 And the keeper of the prison awaking out of his sleep, and seeing the prison doors open, he drew out his sword, and would have killed himself, supposing that the prisoners had been fled.
Acts 16:28 But Paul cried with a loud voice, saying, Do thyself no harm: for we are all here.
Acts 16:29 Then he called for a light, and sprang in, and came trembling, and fell down before Paul and Silas,

* Problem because the Christian are persecuting and put in prinson and killed the spiritual leaders of the Church.

 

2. THE FAITH THAT OVERCOMES THE GREAT PURPOSE OF FULFILLING THE GREAT COMMISSION OF THE CHURCH

 

MATTHEW 28:19-20 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
Mt 28:20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, [even] unto the end of the world. Amen.

a. Ang dakilang layunin ng iglesya lokal ay ipalaganap ang ebanghelyo ni Kristo sa buong sanlibutan.

MARK 16:15 “And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.”

b. Ang Panginoong Hesus ang ating huwaran sa paghayo upang ipahayag ang ebanghelyo.

LUKE 19:10 “For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.”

Acts 11:23 Who, when he came, and had seen the grace of God, was glad, and exhorted them all, that with purpose of heart they would cleave unto the Lord.
Acts 11:24 For he was a good man, and full of the Holy Ghost and of faith: and much people was added unto the Lord.
Acts 11:25 Then departed Barnabas to Tarsus, for to seek Saul:
Acts 11:26 And when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioch. And it came to pass, that a whole year they assembled themselves with the church, and taught much people. And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch.

 

3. THE FAITH THAT OVERCOMES THE GREAT PROMISE OF POWER OF THE CHURCH

 

EPHESIANS 3:7-12 Whereof I was made a minister, according to the gift of the grace of God given unto me by the effectual working of his power.
Eph 3:8 Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ;
Eph 3:9 And to make all [men] see what [is] the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ:
Eph 3:10 To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly [places] might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God,
Eph 3:11 According to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord:
Eph 3:12 In whom we have boldness and access with confidence by the faith of him.

Ang kapangyarihan mula sa biyaya ng Diyos.

EPHESIANS 3:16 That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;

d. Ang kapangyarihan na gawa ng Diyos sa pagkilos ni Kristo sa ating mga puso.

EPHESIANS 3:17, 20 “That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,

Eph 3:20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,”

 

4. THE FAITH THAT OVERCOMES THE GREAT PROGRESS OF THE CHURCH

 

ACTS 6:7 “And the word of God increased; and the number of the disciples multiplied in Jerusalem greatly; and a great company of the priests were obedient to the faith.”

a. Ang Diyos ang pinagmumulan nang lubos na paglago ng gawain ng Diyos.

1CORINTHIANS 3:6 I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase.

b. Si Hesus ang nagbibigay ng pangitain patungkol sa masaganang pag-aani ng mga kaluluwa.

LUKE 10:1-2 After these things the Lord appointed other seventy also, and sent them two and two before his face into every city and place, whither he himself would come.
Lk 10:2 Therefore said he unto them, The harvest truly [is] great, but the labourers [are] few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth labourers into his harvest.

JOHN4:35 Say not ye, There are yet four months, and [then] cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest.

 

5. THE FAITH THAT OVERCOMES PROMOTE MISSION SUPPORTS OF THE CHURCH.

 

( Philippians 4:15-16 ) Now ye Philippians know also, that in the beginning of the gospel, when I departed from Macedonia, no church communicated with me as concerning giving and receiving, but ye only.
Php 4:16 For even in Thessalonica ye sent once and again unto my necessity.

Pangwakas:

Ang pagtatagumpay ng iglesya lokal ay laging posible dahil sa Pananampalataya.

( Hebrews 11:6 ) But without faith [it is] impossible to please [him]: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and [that] he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
