[F] [PREACHING LESSON 5:] SOME GOOD THINGS THAT GOD THINKETH UPON HIS PEOPLE

(ILANG MABUBUTING BAGAY NA INIISIP NG DIYOS PARA SA MGA KRISTIYANO)
PSALMS 40:17 “But I [am] poor and needy; [yet] the Lord thinketh upon me: thou [art] my help and my deliverer; make no tarrying, O my God.”

Panimula:
JEREMIAH 29:11 “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.”

1. GOD THINKETH THE CHRISTIAN TO BE A GOOD SOLDIER OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST
2TIMOTHY 2:3 “Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.”

2TIMOTHY 2:4 “No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of [this] life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.”

2TIMOTHY 4:7 “I have fought a good fight, I have finished [my] course, I have kept the faith:”

2. GOD THINKETH THE CHRISTIAN TO BE A GOOD FRIEND OF THE LORD
JOHN 15:13-16 “Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.
Jn 15:14 Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.
Jn 15:15 Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.
Jn 15:16 Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and [that] your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.”

JOHN 15:13 “Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.”

JOHN 15:15 “Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.”

3. GOD THINKETH THE CHRISTIAN TO BE A GOOD AND TRUE WORSHIPPER OF THE LORD
JOHN 4:23 “But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.”

JOHN 1:12-13 “But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, [even] to them that believe on his name:
Jn 1:13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.”

JOHN 4:24 “God [is] a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship [him] in spirit and in truth.”

ACTS 20:7 “And upon the first [day] of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul preached unto them, ready to depart on the morrow; and continued his speech until midnight.”

ACTS 2:46-47 “And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart,
Acts 2:47 Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.”

4. GOD THINKETH THE CHRISTIAN TO BE A GOOD GIVER OF THE LORD
ACTS 20:35 “I have shewed you all things, how that so labouring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.”

MALACHI 3:10 “Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that [there shall] not [be room] enough [to receive it].”

MALACHI 3:11 “And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the Lord of hosts.”

MALACHI 3:12 “And all nations shall call you blessed: for ye shall be a delightsome land, saith the Lord of hosts.”
2CORINTHIANS 9:7 “Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, [so let him give]; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.”

5. GOD THINKETH THE CHRISTIAN TO BE A GOOD AND FAITHFUL SOULWINNER
2TIMOTHY 2:2 “And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.”

1CORINTHIANS 9:19 “For though I be free from all [men], yet have I made myself servant unto all, that I might gain the more.”

ROMANS 1:16 “But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report?”
2TIMOTHY 4:2 “Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.”

Pangwakas:
1PETER 2:9-10 “But ye [are] a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:
1Pet 2:10 Which in time past [were] not a people, but [are] now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.”
