[F] [PREACHING LESSON 18:] TWO WALKS OF MAN ON PLANET EARTH

[F18] TWO WALKS OF MAN ON PLANET EARTH

PSALMS 1:1-6 “Blessed [is] the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
Pss 1:2 But his delight [is] in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.
Pss 1:3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
Pss 1:4 The ungodly [are] not so: but [are] like the chaff which the wind driveth away.
Pss 1:5 Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.
Pss 1:6 For the Lord knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.”

Panimula:

ROMANS 3:10 “As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:”

EPHESIANS 2:12 “That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:”

JOHN 1:12-13 “But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, [even] to them that believe on his name:
Jn 1:13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.”

JOHN 8:44 “Ye are of [your] father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.”

HEBREWS 11:16 “But now they desire a better [country], that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he hath prepared for them a city.”

JOHN 3:18, 36 “He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

Jn 3:36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.”

I. THE GODLY WALK

(Ang maka-Diyos na lakad)

1.     WHAT TO SHUN?

(Ano ang dapat iwasan?)

a.     Shun – to avoid, to escape or to be out of.

PSALMS 1:1 “Blessed [is] the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.”

2.     WHAT TO SEEK?

(Ano ang dapat hanapin?)

a.     Hanapin ang Kanyang mahahalagang mga Salita.

PSALMS 1:2 “But his delight [is] in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.”

MATTHEW 6:33 “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”

3.     WHAT TO SHOW?

(Ano ang dapat ipakita?)

PSALMS 1:3 “And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.”

Þ   Tulad ng isang puno na yumayabong.

PSALMS 92:12-13 “The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree: he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon.
Pss 92:13 Those that be planted in the house of the Lord shall flourish in the courts of our God.”

2TIMOTHY 3:16-17 “All scripture [is] given by inspiration of God, and [is] profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
2Tim 3:17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.”

PHILIPPIANS 4:19 “But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.”

II. THE UNGODLY WALK

(Ang di-maka-Diyos na lakad)

1.     IT IS WORTHLESS

(Ito ay walang halaga)

EPHESIANS 2:12 “That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:”

Þ   Worthless – having no use, no importance, or no effect, having no good qualities

PSALMS 1:4 “The ungodly [are] not so: but [are] like the chaff which the wind driveth away.”

2.     IT IS WEAK

(Ito ay mahina)

EPHESIANS 2:12 “That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:”

Þ   Weak – not able to withstand temptation or persuasion

PSALMS 1:5 “The ungodly [are] not so: but [are] like the chaff which the wind driveth away.”

3.     IT IS WRECKED

(Ito ay nakakasira)

EPHESIANS 2:12 “That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:”

EPHESIANS 2:2-3 “Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:
Eph 2:3 Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.”

Þ   Wrecked  – a vehicle, airplane, etc. that has been badly damaged or destroyed: a ruined or destroyed ship

PSALMS 1:6 “For the Lord knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.”

Pangwakas:
