[EE] [PREACHING LESSON 7:] WHAT ARE THOSE THINGS THAT PERTAIN TO SPIRITUAL THINGS THAT WE ALWAYS CHOOSE TO DO FOR THE GLORY OF GOD?

 WHAT ARE THOSE THINGS THAT PERTAIN TO SPIRITUAL THINGS THAT WE ALWAYS CHOOSE TO DO FOR THE GLORY OF GOD?

( Colossians 3:1-2 ) [1]If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.

[2]Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.

1.ALWAYS GIVE TIME TO MEDITATE ON THE WORD OF GOD.

( Mathew 4:4 ) But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

( Joshua 1:8 ) This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.

( Psalms 1:1-3 ) [1]Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.

[2]But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.

[3]And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

2. ALWAYS BE FAITHFUL WORSHIPPING GOD IN HIS TEMPLE.

( Psalms 122:1 ) I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the LORD.

( Acts 2:46-47 ) [46]And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart,

[47]Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.

3. ALWAYS CHOOSE TO SERVE THE LORD.

( Joshua 24:15 ) And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.

( Timothy 1:12 ) And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who hath enabled me, for that he counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry;

( Romans 12:6-11 ) [6]Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith;

[7]Or ministry, let us wait on our ministering: or he that teacheth, on teaching;

[8]Or he that exhorteth, on exhortation: he that giveth, let him do it with simplicity; he that ruleth, with diligence; he that sheweth mercy, with cheerfulness.

[9]Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good.

[10]Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another;

[11]Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord;

4. ALWAYS CHOOSE TO WIN LOST PEOPLE AT ANY COST AT ANY PLACE AND AT ANY TIME.

( John 9:4-5 ) [4]I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.

[5]As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.

5. ALWAYS CHOOSE TO GIVE MORE TO THE WORK OF THE LORD SPECIAL TO MISSION WORK.

( Philippians 4:15-16 ) [15]Now ye Philippians know also, that in the beginning of the gospel, when I departed from Macedonia, no church communicated with me as concerning giving and receiving, but ye only.

[16]For even in Thessalonica ye sent once and again unto my necessity.

( Acts 20: 35 ) I have shewed you all things, how that so labouring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.

* God bless you All always *
