CHRISTIANS HAVE THE POTENTIAL TO DO GOOD WORK FOR GOD, THE BIBLE SAID.
( Philippians 1:6 ) Being
confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will
perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:
WHAT ARE THOSE THINGS THAT CHRISTIANS CAN DO GOOD FOR GOD?
1. POTENTIAL TO BE FAITHFUL IN WORSHIPPING GOD IN THEIR
CHRISTIAN LIFE.
( Acts 2:46-47 ) [46]And
they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from
house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart,
[47]Praising God, and having favour with all the
people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.
2. POTENTIAL TO BE FAITHFUL IN PRAYER TO GOD IN THEIR
CHRISTIAN LIFE.
( Hebrews 4:16 ) Let us
therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and
find grace to help in time of need.
3.
POTENTIAL TO BE FAITHFUL IN SERVING GOD ACCORDING TO THE TALENT GOD HATH GIVEN
THEM
( Romans 12:6-11 ) [6]Having
then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether
prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith;
[7]Or ministry, let us wait on our ministering: or
he that teacheth, on teaching;
[8]Or he that exhorteth, on exhortation: he that
giveth, let him do it with simplicity; he that ruleth, with diligence; he that
sheweth mercy, with cheerfulness.
[9]Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that
which is evil; cleave to that which is good.
[10]Be kindly affectioned one to another with
brotherly love; in honour preferring one another;
[11]Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit;
serving the Lord;
4.
POTENTIAL TO BE FAITHFUL TO WITNESS LOST PEOPLE IN EVERY OPPORTUNITY GOD GIVES THEM.
( I Corinthians 19-22) [19]For
though I be free from all men, yet have I made myself servant unto all, that I
might gain the more.
[20]And unto the Jews I became as a Jew, that I
might gain the Jews; to them that are under the law, as under the law, that I
might gain them that are under the law;
[21]To them that are without law, as without law,
(being not without law to God, but under the law to Christ,) that I might gain
them that are without law.
[22]To the weak became I as weak, that I might
gain the weak: I am made all things to all men, that I might by all means save
some.
5. POTENTIAL TO BE FAITHFUL IN GIVING THEIR TITHES AND
OFFERING TO THE LORD.
( Malachi 3:10-12 ) [10]Bring
ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house,
and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the
windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room
enough to receive it.
[11]And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes,
and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine
cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the LORD of hosts.
[12]And all nations shall call you blessed: for ye
shall be a delightsome land, saith the LORD of hosts.
6. A POTENTIAL TO BE A CO-LABORER WITH IN THE MINISTRY OF
THE LORD.
( 1 Corinthians 3:9-10 ) [9]For we
are labourers together with God: ye are God's husbandry, ye are God's building.
[10]According to the grace of God which is given
unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another
buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon.
7. A
POTENTIAL GOOD FRIEND OF JESUS CHRIST BECAUSE THEY ARE AN OBEDIENT BELIEVER OF
CHRIST.
( John 15:13-16 ) [13]Greater
love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.
[14]Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I
command you.
[15]Henceforth I call you not servants; for the
servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all
things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.
[16]Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you,
and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit
should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may
give it you.
8. A POTENTIAL FAITHFUL MISSIONARY OF CHRIST TO THE
REGIONS BEYOND.
(Philippians 4:13-16) [13]I can
do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
[14]Notwithstanding ye have well done, that ye did
communicate with my affliction.
[15]Now ye Philippians know also, that in the
beginning of the gospel, when I departed from Macedonia, no church communicated
with me as concerning giving and receiving, but ye only.
[16]For even in Thessalonica ye sent once and
again unto my necessity.
* God
bless you all always *
