 WHAT DO YOU THINK? WHY DO CHURCH MEMBERS LOVE THEIR CHURCH MORE THAN ANYTHING ELSE IN THEIR LIFE?

 

( Acts 20:28 ) Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.

 

1. BECAUSE THEY LOVE TO WORSHIP THE LORD IN HIS TEMPLE.

 

( Acts 2:46-47 ) [46]And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart,

[47]Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.

 

2. BECAUSE THEY LOVE TO LISTEN TO THE PREACHING OF GOD'S WORDS.

 

( Acts 20:7 ) And upon the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul preached unto them, ready to depart on the morrow; and continued his speech until midnight.

 

3. BECAUSE THEY LOVE THE PEOPLE OF GOD THAT THEY FELLOWSHIP INSIDE THE BODY OF CHRIST.

 

( 1 John 1:1-3 ) [1]That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life;

[2](For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;)

[3]That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.

 

4. BECAUSE THEY LOVE THE FRUITS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT IN THE MIDST OF THE LOCAL CHURCH.

 

( Galatians 5:22-23 ) [22]But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

[23]Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

 

5. BECAUSE THEY LOVE TO SING PRAISES UNTO THE LORD DURING THE WORSHIP SERVICE.

 

( Psalms 9:1-2) 1.I will praise thee, O LORD, with my whole heart; I will shew forth all thy marvellous works.

[2]I will be glad and rejoice in thee: I will sing praise to thy name, O thou most High.

 

6. BECAUSE THEY PRAY FOR ONE ANOTHER INSIDE THE LOCAL CHURCH.

 

( James 5:16 ) Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

(1 Thessalonians 5:17-18) [17]Pray without ceasing.

[18]In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
