[EE] [PREACHING LESSON 14:] GOD'S GREATEST SUPPORT TO A SURRENDERED LOCAL CHURCH TO ACCOMPLISH HIS GREAT COMMISSION

GOD'S GREATEST SUPPORT TO A SURRENDERED LOCAL CHURCH TO ACCOMPLISH HIS GREAT COMMISSION

( Matthew 28:18-20 ) [18]And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.

[19]Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

[20]Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

(Acts 11:19-26) [19]Now they which were scattered abroad upon the persecution that arose about Stephen travelled as far as Phenice, and Cyprus, and Antioch, preaching the word to none but unto the Jews only.

[20]And some of them were men of Cyprus and Cyrene, which, when they were come to Antioch, spake unto the Grecians, preaching the Lord Jesus.

[21]And the hand of the Lord was with them: and a great number believed, and turned unto the Lord.

[22]Then tidings of these things came unto the ears of the church which was in Jerusalem: and they sent forth Barnabas, that he should go as far as Antioch.

[23]Who, when he came, and had seen the grace of God, was glad, and exhorted them all, that with purpose of heart they would cleave unto the Lord.

[24]For he was a good man, and full of the Holy Ghost and of faith: and much people was added unto the Lord.

[25]Then departed Barnabas to Tarsus, for to seek Saul:

[26]And when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioch. And it came to pass, that a whole year they assembled themselves with the church, and taught much people. And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch.

* INTRODUCTION:

a. The need helps from above to accomplish the great commission of the Lord Jesus.

b. God the Father is the very first concern to help His Church bought by the precious blood of the Lord Jesus Christ.

* ( Acts 20:28 ) Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.

1. GOD'S GREAT SUPPORT OF PERFECT PARTNER IN THEIR MINISTRY TO GUIDE AND GIVE WISDOM AND POWER IN HIS MINISTRY BY THE HOLY SPIRIT.

*( John 16: 13 ) Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.

*( Acts 1:8 ) But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

The Holy Spirit is our perfect Partner in the Mission field. He will lead the Missionary to the right place to start the Mission work. He also will lead us to right people with an open heart to received the Lord Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior of their life.

b. Good example in

(Acts 8:26-38) [26]And the angel of the Lord spake unto Philip, saying, Arise, and go toward the south unto the way that goeth down from Jerusalem unto Gaza, which is desert.

[27]And he arose and went: and, behold, a man of Ethiopia, an eunuch of great authority under Candace queen of the Ethiopians, who had the charge of all her treasure, and had come to Jerusalem for to worship,

(Acts 8:29-39) [29]Then the Spirit said unto Philip, Go near, and join thyself to this chariot.

[30]And Philip ran thither to him, and heard him read the prophet Esaias, and said, Understandest thou what thou readest?

[31]And he said, How can I, except some man should guide me? And he desired Philip that he would come up and sit with him.

[32]The place of the scripture which he read was this, He was led as a sheep to the slaughter; and like a lamb dumb before his shearer, so opened he not his mouth:

[33]In his humiliation his judgment was taken away: and who shall declare his generation? for his life is taken from the earth.

[34]And the eunuch answered Philip, and said, I pray thee, of whom speaketh the prophet this? of himself, or of some other man?

[35]Then Philip opened his mouth, and began at the same scripture, and preached unto him Jesus.

[36]And as they went on their way, they came unto a certain water: and the eunuch said, See, here is water; what doth hinder me to be baptized?

[37]And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.

[38]And he commanded the chariot to stand still: and they went down both into the water, both Philip and the eunuch; and he baptized him.

[39]And when they were come up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught away Philip, that the eunuch saw him no more: and he went on his way rejoicing.8]Was returning, and sitting in his chariot read Esaias the prophet.

2. GOD'S GREAT SUPPORT THE OF GOOD AND ABLE PEOPLE INSIDE THE LOCAL CHURCH TO HELP TO EQUIP ALL THE BELIEVERS IN THE MINISTRY OF THE LORD TO ACCOMPLISH THE MISSION WORK.

* ( Ephesians 4:11-16 ) [11]And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;

[12]For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:

[13]Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:

[14]That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro,xx and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;

[15]But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:

[16]From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.

a. They strong and faithful soulwinners inside the local Church.

b. These good people God placed in the Ministry of the Lord in Mission work with help the missionary to disciples and trained more useful and effective soulwinners in the Mission work.

c. God design His Mission and Church as good model Godly and Christlike people in their community.

Paul enjoys the results of equipping the believers of Christ inside the local Church.

( 2 Timothy 2:1-7 ) [1]Thou therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.

[2]And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.

[3]Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.

[4]No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.

[5]And if a man also strive for masteries, yet is he not crowned, except he strive lawfully.

[6]The husbandman that laboureth must be first partaker of the fruits.

[7]Consider what I say; and the Lord give thee understanding in all things.

* Let us examine the kind of spiritual people with spiritual strength inside the local Church.

3. GOD'S GREAT SUPPORT OF BIG VISION IN THE MINISTRY OF THE LORD TO FULFILL THE GREAT COMMISSION.

( Acts 16:9-10 ) [9]And a vision appeared to Paul in the night; There stood a man of Macedonia, and prayed him, saying, Come over into Macedonia, and help us.

[10]And after he had seen the vision, immediately we endeavoured to go into Macedonia, assuredly gathering that the Lord had called us for to preach the gospel unto them.

* The Lord Jesus Christ is our model, having a burden for lost people that need to be saved.

( John 4:35 ) Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest.

* God's serious reminder to His people.

( Proverbs 29:18 ) Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.

* The Lord Jesus Christ is our good model in immediately response to the vision God gave to His Church.

( Mathew 9:35-36 ) [35]And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people.

[36]But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd.

[37]Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few;

[38]Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.

( John 9:4-5 ) [4]I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.

[5]As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.

4. GOD'S GREAT SUPPORT OF SUFFICIENT GRACE OF GOD IN TIME THEY FACE GREAT TRIALS AND TROUBLES IN THE MINISTRY OF THE LORD.

( II Corinthians 12:9-10 ) [9]And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

[10]Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.

* The Church at Antioch experienced the bountiful grace of when they were persecuted during the time they are busy fulfilling the great commission of the Lord Jesus Christ.

( Acts 11:19-26 ) [19]Now they which were scattered abroad upon the persecution that arose about Stephen travelled as far as Phenice, and Cyprus, and Antioch, preaching the word to none but unto the Jews only.

5 GOD’S GREAT SUPPORT BY REWARDING THEIR FAITHFULNESS IN THE MINISTRY OF THE LORD OF BOUNTIFUL BLESSINGS.

( II Timothy 4:7-8 ) [7]I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:

( 2 Timothy 4:8 ) Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.

* ( Proverbs 28:20 ) A faithful man shall abound with blessings: but he that maketh haste to be rich shall not be innocent.

* God bless you all always *
