[E] [PREACHING LESSON 16:] LET US PUT AWAY CHILDISH THINGS INSIDE THE CHURCH

(ALISIN NA NATIN ANG PAGIGING BATA SA LOOB NG IGLESYA)

1CORINTHIANS 13:11 “When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.”

Panimula:

a.     Nagbigay ng seryosong hamon si Pablo sa iglesya ng Corinto dahil nakita niya na hindi nagpapakita ang mga Kristiyano doon ng pagiging responsable sa gawain ng Panginoon.

b.    Nais ng Diyos na ang lahat ng Kristiyano ay magsilago sa kanilang buhay Kristiyano. Hindi manatiling bata na walang pagsisikap at pagnanais na tumulong sa gawain ng Panginoon.

Mga bagay na dapat ng iwanan sa pagiging bata:

                                                                                                                                             

1. LET US PUT AWAY CARNALITY OF A CHILD

(Alisin na natin ang pamumuhay sa laman na gaya ng ugali ng isang bata)

1CORINTHIANS 3:1-3 “And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, [even] as unto babes in Christ.
1Cor 3:2 I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able [to bear it], neither yet now are ye able.
1Cor 3:3 For ye are yet carnal: for whereas [there is] among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men?”

     

a.     Palatandaan ng isang pagiging batang Kristiyano ang pamumuhay sa laman. Madalas itong pinagmumulan ng problema at kaguluhan sa loob ng iglesya lokal.

b.    Sinabi ni Pablo na ang ganitong pamumuhay ay katulad ng sanggol kay Kristo.

2. LET US PUT AWAY CARES OR CONCERN OF A CHILD

(Alisin na natin ang mga pinagbibigyang pansin o pinahahalagahang bagay na gaya ng ugali ng isang bata)

1CORINTHIANS 13:11 “When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.”

a.     Ang pinapahalagahan ng pagiging bata ay mga bagay na pansanlibutan, pangmateryal at panlupa lamang. Maraming ganitong Kristiyano sa loob ng iglesya lokal. Ito rin ang pinapahalagahan ng mga Gentil at mga hindi Kristiyano.

MATTHEW 6:31-32 “Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?
Mt 6:32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.”

Ø  Ang ganitong pagpapahalaga ay katunayan ng kawalang pananampalataya sa Diyos at masasabing batang Kristiyano pa.

MATTHEW 6:30 “(For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.”

b.    Ang hamon ni Pablo sa mga Kristiyano ay pahalagahan ang mga bagay na makalangit.

COLOSSIANS 3:1-2 “If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.
Col 3:2 Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.”

3. LET US PUT AWAY CARELESSNESS OF A CHILD

(Alisin na natin ang mga pagpapabaya na gaya ng ugali ng isang bata)

PHILIPPIANS 1:15-17 “Some indeed preach Christ even of envy and strife; and some also of good will:
Php 1:16 The one preach Christ of contention, not sincerely, supposing to add affliction to my bonds:
Php 1:17 But the other of love, knowing that I am set for the defence of the gospel.”

a.     Ang tunay na paglago ng isang Kristiyano ay makikita sa kanilang patotoo na maging isang halimbawa sa kapwa Kristiyano.

PHILIPPIANS 1:16 “The one preach Christ of contention, not sincerely, supposing to add affliction to my bonds:”

b.    Ang pagiging ilaw sa buhay Kristiyano ay nagpapatunay na iniwan mo na ang ugaling pagkabata.

MATTHEW 5:16 “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.”

4. LET US PUT AWAY CONTENTMENT OF A CHILD

(Alisin na natin ang pagiging kontento na gaya ng ugali ng isang bata)

HEBREWS 5:13-14 “For every one that useth milk [is] unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe.
Heb 5:14 But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, [even] those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.”

a.     Hinahamon tayo ni Pablo na huwag lang maging kontento sa narating na kundi mangarap din tayo na maging isang guro sa ating kapwa.

HEBREWS 5:12 “For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which [be] the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat.”

b.    Karapatdapat na pagkatiwalaan ang mga malalago at matatapat na Kristiyano ng mahalagang gawain ng pag-aakay ng kaluluwa.

2TIMOTHY 2:2 “And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.”

Pangwakas:

Isang mahalagang hamon ni Pablo sa bawat matatagal ng Kristiyano na iwanan na ang ugaling pagiging bata. Magnais at mangarap na lumago sa buhay Kristiyano sa biyaya ng Diyos.

2PETER 3:18 “But grow in grace, and [in] the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him [be] glory both now and for ever. Amen.”
