[E] [PREACHING LESSON 13:] GREAT FEAR WAS SETTLED BY CHRIST SO THAT CHRISTIANS CAN SERVE GOD VICTORIOUSLY

(WINAKASAN NA NI KRISTO ANG DAKILANG KINATATAKUTAN NG KRISTIYANO UPANG SILA AY MAKAPAGLINGKOD SA DIYOS NANG MAY KATAGUMPAYAN)
1CORINTHIANS 15:55-58 “O death, where [is] thy sting? O grave, where [is] thy victory?
1Cor 15:56 The sting of death [is] sin; and the strength of sin [is] the law.
1Cor 15:57 But thanks [be] to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
1Cor 15:58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.”

Panimula:
1CORINTHIANS 15:58 “Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.”

1. CHRIST SETTLED OUR FEAR FROM SIN JUDGMENT
ROMANS 8:33-34 “Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God’s elect? [It is] God that justifieth.
Rom 8:34 Who [is] he that condemneth? [It is] Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.”

ROMANS 5:8-9 “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
Rom 5:9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.”
JOHN 19:30 “When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.”

ROMANS 8:1 “[There is] therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.”

JOHN 5:24 “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.”

2. CHRIST SETTLED OUR FEAR OF DEATH
1CORINTHIANS 15:55-56 “O death, where [is] thy sting? O grave, where [is] thy victory?
1Cor 15:56 The sting of death [is] sin; and the strength of sin [is] the law.”

JOHN 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

2CORINTHIANS 5:8 “We are confident, [I say], and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.”

PHILIPPIANS 1:21 “For to me to live [is] Christ, and to die [is] gain.”

3. CHRIST SETTLED OUR FEAR OF OUR SPIRITUAL ENEMY THE DEVIL
HEBREWS 2:14 “Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;”

JOHN 1:12 “But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, [even] to them that believe on his name:”

EPHESIANS 2:2-3 “Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:
Eph 2:3 Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.”

4. CHRIST SETTLED OUR FEAR OF LACK OF REWARD, BLESSINGS AND VICTORY
1CORINTHIANS 15:57-58 “But thanks [be] to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
1Cor 15:58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.”

1CORINTHIANS 15:58 “Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.”
