( Psalms 128:1-6 ) Pss 128:1
Blessed [is] every one that feareth the Lord; that walketh in his ways.
Pss 128:2 For thou shalt eat the labour of thine
hands: happy [shalt] thou [be], and [it shall be] well with thee.
Pss 128:3 Thy wife [shall be] as a fruitful vine
by the sides of thine house: thy children like olive plants round about thy
table.
Pss 128:4 Behold, that thus shall the man be
blessed that feareth the Lord.
Pss 128:5 The Lord shall bless thee out of Zion:
and thou shalt see the good of Jerusalem all the days of thy life.
Pss 128:6 Yea, thou shalt see thy children’s
children, [and] peace upon Israel.
* INTRODUCTION:
1. The
blessedness of God's servants speaks of God’s approval and support of the
calling of the pastor and wife in the ministry of the Lord.
2.
Take note of verse 4.
*( Psalms 128:4 ) Behold,
that thus shall the man be blessed that feareth the LORD.
* This
is clear evidence of God’s support and approval of Pastor as God’s servant. As
the chosen leader inside the Christian family and leader inside the local church,
we are the prime model of showing God-fearing examples to our family and church.
3. God
gave assurance to the dear family of the pastor of God's full support for the
needs of our family because God put in a very important ministry to take care of
His Church under your leadership.
SOME
GREAT AND MULTIPLE SUPPORT OF TO GOD'S SERVANTS.
1. GOD
SUPPORT THE SERVANT OF GOD OF PERFECT PARTNER IN THEIR MINISTRY TO GUIDE THEM
AND GIVE WISDOM AND POWER IN HIS MINISTRY, THE HOLY SPIRIT.
*( Juan 16:13 ) Howbeit
when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he
shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak:
and he will shew you things to come.
* ( Acts 1:8 ) But ye
shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall
be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and
unto the uttermost part of the earth.
2. GOD
SUPPORT THE SERVANT OF GOD OF GOOD PEOPLE INSIDE THE LOCAL CHURCH TO HELP THEM
IN THE MINISTRY OF THE LORD.
* ( Ephesians 4:11-16 ) [11]And he
gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some,
pastors and teachers;
[12]For the perfecting of the saints, for the work
of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:
[13]Till we all come in the unity of the faith,
and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of
the stature of the fulness of Christ:
[14]That we henceforth be no more children, tossed
to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of
men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;
[15]But speaking the truth in love, may grow up
into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:
[16]From whom the whole body fitly joined together
and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual
working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the
edifying of itself in love.
3. GOD
SUPPORT THE SERVANT OF GOD OF SPIRITUAL STRENGTH OF SPIRITUAL PEOPLE INSIDE THE
LOCAL CHURCH.
( 2 Timothy 2:1-7 ) [1]Thou
therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.
[2]And the things that thou hast heard of me among
many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to
teach others also.
[3]Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good
soldier of Jesus Christ.
[4]No man that warreth entangleth himself with the
affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a
soldier.
[5]And if a man also strive for masteries, yet is
he not crowned, except he strive lawfully.
[6]The husbandman that laboureth must be first
partaker of the fruits.
[7]Consider what I say; and the Lord give thee
understanding in all things.
4. GOD
SUPPORT THE SERVANT OF GOD OF BIG VISION IN THE MINISTRY OF THE LORD TO FULFILL
THE GREAT COMMISSION.
( Acts 16:9-10 ) [9]And a
vision appeared to Paul in the night; There stood a man of Macedonia, and
prayed him, saying, Come over into Macedonia, and help us.
[10]And after he had seen the vision, immediately
we endeavoured to go into Macedonia, assuredly gathering that the Lord had
called us for to preach the gospel unto them.
* The
Lord Jesus Christ is our model, having a burden for lost people that need to be
saved.
( John 4:35 ) Say not ye,
There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you,
Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to
harvest.
( Mathew 9:35-36 ) [35]And
Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and
preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every
disease among the people.
[36]But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved
with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as
sheep having no shepherd.
[37]Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest
truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few;
[38]Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest,
that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.
( John 9:4-5 ) [4]I must
work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no
man can work.
[5]As long as I am in the world, I am the light of
the world.
5. GOD
SUPPORT THE SERVANT OF GOD BY REWARDING THEM AND HIS WIFE WITH BOUNTIFUL
BLESSINGS BASED ON YOUR FAITHFULNESS IN THE MINISTRY OF THE LORD.
( II Timothy 4:7-8 ) [7]I have
fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:
( 2 Timothy 4:8 ) Henceforth
there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous
judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also
that love his appearing.
* ( Proverbs 28:20 ) A faithful
man shall abound with blessings: but he that maketh haste to be rich shall not
be innocent.
6. GOD
SUPPORT THE SERVANT OF GOD WITH SUFFICIENT GRACE OF GOD IN TIME THEY FACE GREAT
TRIALS AND TROUBLES IN THEIR FAMILY AND IN THE MINISTRY OF THE LORD.
( II Corinthians 12:9-10 ) [9]And he
said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect
in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that
the power of Christ may rest upon me.
[10]Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in
reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake:
for when I am weak, then am I strong.
* God
always answers the prayers of God’s servant as God promised every time we come
to the throne of grace of God.
( Hebrews 4:16 ) [16]Let us
therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and
find grace to help in time of need.
* God
is always with the servants of God to comfort them at all times.
( II Corinthians 1:4-10 ) [4]Who
comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which
are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.
[5]For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us,
so our consolation also aboundeth by Christ.
[6]And whether we be afflicted, it is for your
consolation and salvation, which is effectual in the enduring of the same
sufferings which we also suffer: or whether we be comforted, it is for your
consolation and salvation.
[7]And our hope of you is stedfast, knowing, that
as ye are partakers of the sufferings, so shall ye be also of the consolation.
[8]For we would not, brethren, have you ignorant
of our trouble which came to us in Asia, that we were pressed out of measure,
above strength, insomuch that we despaired even of life:
[9]But we had the sentence of death in ourselves,
that we should not trust in ourselves, but in God which raiseth the dead:
[10]Who delivered us from so great a death, and
doth deliver: in whom we trust that he will yet deliver us;
* God
is always ready to give the servants of perfect strength to face all the
challenges they face in the Ministry of the Lord.
( I Peter 5:10 ) [10]But the
God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus,
after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen,
settle you.
* God
prepares the servants of perfect peace in times we face trials and troubles in
the ministry of the Lord.
*( Philippians 4:7-9 ) [7]And the
peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds
through Christ Jesus.
[8]Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true,
whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are
pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if
there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
[9]Those things, which ye have both learned, and
received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with
you.
* God
bless you all always *
