[DD] [PREACHING LESSON 10:] WHAT TIME IS IT FOR GOD'S PEOPLE WHEN THEY FACED TRIALS UNEXPECTEDLY? WHAT TIME IS IT FOR THEMSELVES?

WHAT TIME IS IT FOR GOD'S PEOPLE WHEN THEY FACED TRIALS UNEXPECTEDLY?

WHAT TIME IS IT FOR THEMSELVES?

( I Peter 4:12 ) 12 Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you:

INTRODUCTION:

 a. God design the life of the Christians to face some troubles and trials in Christian life.

b. That is we need to be strong in our Christian life so that we are prepared and ready to face some difficulties in Christian life.

( Ephesians 6:10 ) 10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.

c. God’s way to for all the believers to exercise faith and help them to have their strong faith is by facing multiple trials in their Christian life.

( I Peter  1: 7 ) That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:

* God is always glorified when Christians are facing and enduring during their trials and troubles in their Christian life.

( I Peter 4:13-16 ) [13]But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.

[14]If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye; for the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you: on their part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified.

[15]But let none of you suffer as a murderer, or as a thief, or as an evildoer, or as a busybody in other men's matters.

[16]Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf.

1. IT IS TIME TO RETHINK OF YOURSELVES.

( 1 Peter 4:12 ) Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you:

a. It is time to re-think or to examine ourselves before God and before we pray to God to give us wisdom to understand the will of God in our lives.

( John 16:13 ) Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.

*( II Corinthians 13:5-10 ) [5]Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?

[6]But I trust that ye shall know that we are not reprobates.

[7]Now I pray to God that ye do no evil; not that we should appear approved, but that ye should do that which is honest, though we be as reprobates.

[8]For we can do nothing against the truth, but for the truth.

[9]For we are glad, when we are weak, and ye are strong: and this also we wish, even your perfection.

[10]Therefore I write these things being absent, lest being present I should use sharpness, according to the power which the Lord hath given me to edification, and not to destruction.

3. IT IS TIME TO RECHECK OURSELVES BEFORE GOD.

( 1 Peter  15-16 ) But let none of you suffer as a murderer, or as a thief, or as an evildoer, or as a busybody in other men's matters.

16 Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf.

suffer as evildoer " - evaluate spiritual condition

b. It is time to examine ourselves.

( 2 Corinthians 13:5) 5 Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?

* To check ourselves is good moved of the Christian to show their sincerity before God in times we are facing deep trials and tribulation in Christian life.

* This is the evidence that we want to be right God so that we can assure God blessings from God.

( Philippians 4:8-13 ) [8]Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

[9]Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.

[10]But I rejoiced in the Lord greatly, that now at the last your care of me hath flourished again; wherein ye were also careful, but ye lacked opportunity.

[11]Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.

[12]I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.

[13]I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

4. IT IS TIME TO RELY ON GOD'S SUFFICIENT GRACE.

(1 Peter 4:19 ) Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to him in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator.

* We can rely on the bountiful grace of God after facing great trials and troubles in Christian life

( I Peter 5:10 ) But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.

5. IT IS TIME TO RELEASE OR PUT THEIR FAITH TO GOD.

( Hebrews 11:6 ) But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

* The great God are so much blessed by because of their faith to God.

( Hebrews 11:32-38 ) [32]And what shall I more say? for the time would fail me to tell of Gedeon, and of Barak, and of Samson, and of Jephthae; of David also, and Samuel, and of the prophets:

[33]Who through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions,

[34]Quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, waxed valiant in fight, turned to flight the armies of the aliens.

[35]Women received their dead raised to life again: and others were tortured, not accepting deliverance; that they might obtain a better resurrection:

[36]And others had trial of cruel mockings and scourgings, yea, moreover of bonds and imprisonment:

[37]They were stoned, they were sawn asunder, were tempted, were slain with the sword: they wandered about in sheepskins and goatskins; being destitute, afflicted, tormented;

[38](Of whom the world was not worthy:) they wandered in deserts, and in mountains, and in dens and caves of the earth.

* God bless you all always.
