WHEN IS THE TIME THAT OUR CHURCH ARE
REJOICING BECAUSE GOD BLESSES THE CHURCH OF PERFECT VICTORY?
(Psalms 118:24) This is the day which the LORD
hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.
1. WHEN THE CHURCH ARE IN UNITY IN THE WORK OF THE LORD.
( Psalms 133;1-3) [1] Behold, how good and how
pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!
[2]It is like the precious
ointment upon the head, that ran down upon the beard, even Aaron's beard: that
went down to the skirts of his garments;
[3]As the dew of Hermon, and as
the dew that descended upon the mountains of Zion: for there the LORD commanded
the blessing, even life for evermore.
2. WHEN THE CHURCH ARE BUSY REACHING MORE LOST PEOPLE IN
OUR COMMUNITY.
( Acts 11:20-24 ) [20]And some of them were men of
Cyprus and Cyrene, which, when they were come to Antioch, spake unto the
Grecians, preaching the Lord Jesus.
[21]And the hand of the Lord was
with them: and a great number believed, and turned unto the Lord.
[22]Then tidings of these things
came unto the ears of the church which was in Jerusalem: and they sent forth
Barnabas, that he should go as far as Antioch.
[23]Who, when he came, and had
seen the grace of God, was glad, and exhorted them all, that with purpose of
heart they would cleave unto the Lord.
[24]For he was a good man, and
full of the Holy Ghost and of faith: and much people was added unto the Lord.
3. WHEN THE CHURCH PRAYED TOGETHER FOR SALVATION OF LOST
SOULS AND WE SEE THE GREAT RESULTS OF OUR PRAYERS.
( Acts 6:4-7 ) [4]But we will give ourselves
continually to prayer, and to the ministry of the word.
[5]And the saying pleased the
whole multitude: and they chose Stephen, a man full of faith and of the Holy
Ghost, and Philip, and Prochorus, and Nicanor, and Timon, and Parmenas, and
Nicolas a proselyte of Antioch:
[6]Whom they set before the
apostles: and when they had prayed, they laid their hands on them.
[7]And the word of God increased;
and the number of the disciples multiplied in Jerusalem greatly; and a great
company of the priests were obedient to the faith.
4. WHEN THE CHURCH ARE PROTECTED BY GOD JUST TO FULFILL
THE GREAT COMMISSION OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST.
Acts 5:17-29 [17]Then the high priest rose up,
and all they that were with him, (which is the sect of the Sadducees,) and were
filled with indignation,
[18]And laid their hands on the
apostles, and put them in the common prison.
[19]But the angel of the Lord by
night opened the prison doors, and brought them forth, and said,
[20]Go, stand and speak in the
temple to the people all the words of this life.
[21]And when they heard that, they
entered into the temple early in the morning, and taught. But the high priest
came, and they that were with him, and called the council together, and all the
senate of the children of Israel, and sent to the prison to have them brought.
[22]But when the officers came,
and found them not in the prison, they returned, and told,
[23]Saying, The prison truly found
we shut with all safety, and the keepers standing without before the doors: but
when we had opened, we found no man within.
[24]Now when the high priest and
the captain of the temple and the chief priests heard these things, they
doubted of them whereunto this would grow.
[25]Then came one and told them,
saying, Behold, the men whom ye put in prison are standing in the temple, and
teaching the people.
[26]Then went the captain with the
officers, and brought them without violence: for they feared the people, lest
they should have been stoned.
[27]And when they had brought
them, they set them before the council: and the high priest asked them,
[28]Saying, Did not we straitly
command you that ye should not teach in this name? and, behold, ye have filled
Jerusalem with your doctrine, and intend to bring this man's blood upon us.
[29]Then Peter and the other
apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men.
5. WHEN THE CHURCH ARE BLESSED BY GOD OF GREAT BLESSINGS.
( Psalms 126:2-3 ) [2]Then was our mouth filled with
laughter, and our tongue with singing: then said they among the heathen, The
LORD hath done great things for them.
[3]The LORD hath done great things
for us; whereof we are glad.
6. WHEN THE CHURCH ARE STRONG ENOUGH TO DEFEAT OUR
SPIRITUAL ENEMY THE DEVIL.
( Ephesians 6:10-18
) [10]Finally,
my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
[11]Put on the whole armour of
God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
[12]For we wrestle not against
flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers
of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
[13]Wherefore take unto you the
whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and
having done all, to stand.
[14]Stand therefore, having your
loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
[15]And your feet shod with the
preparation of the gospel of peace;
Ephesians 6:16-18 [16]Above all, taking the shield
of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the
wicked.
[17]And take the helmet of
salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
[18]Praying always with all prayer
and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance
and supplication for all saints;
6. WHEN THE CHURCH ARE TOTALLY EMPOWERED BY THE HOLY
SPIRIT.
( Acts 2:1-12 ) [1]And when the day of Pentecost
was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.
[2]And suddenly there came a sound
from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they
were sitting.
[3]And there appeared unto them
cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.
[4]And they were all filled with
the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them
utterance.
[5]And there were dwelling at
Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven.
[6]Now when this was noised
abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every
man heard them speak in his own language.
[7]And they were all amazed and
marvelled, saying one to another, Behold, are not all these which speak
Galilaeans?
[8]And how hear we every man in
our own tongue, wherein we were born?
[9]Parthians, and Medes, and
Elamites, and the dwellers in Mesopotamia, and in Judaea, and Cappadocia, in
Pontus, and Asia,
[10]Phrygia, and Pamphylia, in
Egypt, and in the parts of Libya about Cyrene, and strangers of Rome, Jews and
proselytes,
[11]Cretes and Arabians, we do
hear them speak in our tongues the wonderful works of God.
[12]And they were all amazed, and
were in doubt, saying one to another, What meaneth this?
7. WHEN THE CHURCH ARE READY AND REJOICING FOR THE SOON
COMING OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST.
( I Thessalonians
4:13-18 ) [13]But I
would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep,
that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.
[14]For if we believe that Jesus
died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with
him.
[15]For this we say unto you by
the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the
Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.
[16]For the Lord himself shall
descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the
trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
[17]Then we which are alive and
remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in
the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
[18]Wherefore comfort one another
with these words.
8. WHEN THE CHURCH ARE LIVING IN THE FEAR OF GOD WE ARE REJOICING.
( Psalms 128:1-6 ) [1](A Song of degrees.) Blessed is
every one that feareth the LORD; that walketh in his ways.
[2]For thou shalt eat the labour
of thine hands: happy shalt thou be, and it shall be well with thee.
[3]Thy wife shall be as a fruitful
vine by the sides of thine house: thy children like olive plants round about
thy table.
[4]Behold, that thus shall the man
be blessed that feareth the LORD.
[5]The LORD shall bless thee out
of Zion: and thou shalt see the good of Jerusalem all the days of thy life.
[6]Yea, thou shalt see thy
children's children, and peace upon Israel.
* God bless you all always *
