[CC] [PREACHING LESSON 19:] GOOD MODEL CHRISTIANS WHO WHOLLY FOLLOWED THE LORD AND GOD BLESS THEM OF BOUNTIFUL BLESSINGS IN THEIR LIFE.

GOOD MODEL CHRISTIANS WHO WHOLLY FOLLOWED THE LORD AND GOD BLESS THEM OF BOUNTIFUL BLESSINGS IN THEIR LIFE.

Joshua 14:8-9 [8]Nevertheless my brethren that went up with me made the heart of the people melt: but I wholly followed the LORD my God.

[9]And Moses sware on that day, saying, Surely the land whereon thy feet have trodden shall be thine inheritance, and thy children's for ever, because thou hast wholly followed the LORD my God.

1. WE WHOLLY FOLLOWED THE LORD IN OBEYING HIS COMMANMENTS TO US.

( Hebrews 11:6-8 ) [6]But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

[7]By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith.

[8]By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went.

2. WE WHOLLY FOLLOWED THE LORD IN LIVING AS FEARING GOD IN OUR FAMILY.

( Psalms 128:1-6 ) [1] Blessed is every one that feareth the LORD; that walketh in his ways.

[2]For thou shalt eat the labour of thine hands: happy shalt thou be, and it shall be well with thee.

[3]Thy wife shall be as a fruitful vine by the sides of thine house: thy children like olive plants round about thy table.

[4]Behold, that thus shall the man be blessed that feareth the LORD.

[5]The LORD shall bless thee out of Zion: and thou shalt see the good of Jerusalem all the days of thy life.

[6]Yea, thou shalt see thy children's children, and peace upon Israel.

3. WE WHOLLY FOLLOWED THE LORD IN GIVING OUR GIVEN TALENT IN DOING THE MINISTRY OF THE LORD.

( Romans 12:6-11 ) [6]Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith;

[7]Or ministry, let us wait on our ministering: or he that teacheth, on teaching;

[8]Or he that exhorteth, on exhortation: he that giveth, let him do it with simplicity; he that ruleth, with diligence; he that sheweth mercy, with cheerfulness.

[9]Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good.

[10]Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another;

[11]Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord;

4. WE WHOLLY FOLLOWED THE LORD IN FULFILLING THE GREAT COMMISSION OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST IN OUR LIVES.

( John 9:4-5 ) [4]I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.

[5]As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.

5. WE WHOLLY FOLLOWED THE LORD IN SUPPORTING THE MISSION WORK OF THE LORD.

( Philippians 4:15-16 ) [15]Now ye Philippians know also, that in the beginning of the gospel, when I departed from Macedonia, no church communicated with me as concerning giving and receiving, but ye only.

[16]For even in Thessalonica ye sent once and again unto my necessity.

6. WE WHOLLY FOLLOWED THE LORD IN OUR GIVING OF OUR TITHES AND OFFERING TO THE LORD.

( Malachi 3:10-12 ) [10]Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.

[11]And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the LORD of hosts.

[12]And all nations shall call you blessed: for ye shall be a delightsome land, saith the LORD of hosts.

* The Christians gave sacrificially and liberally to the Lord

( II Corinthians 8:1-5 ) [1]Moreover, brethren, we do you to wit of the grace of God bestowed on the churches of Macedonia;

[2]How that in a great trial of affliction the abundance of their joy and their deep poverty abounded unto the riches of their liberality.

[3]For to their power, I bear record, yea, and beyond their power they were willing of themselves;

[4]Praying us with much intreaty that we would receive the gift, and take upon us the fellowship of the ministering to the saints.

[5]And this they did, not as we hoped, but first gave their own selves to the Lord, and unto us by the will of God.

* God bless you all always *
