[CC] [PREACHING LESSON 1:] ENCOURAGEMENT TO CHRISTIANS TO KEEP ON KEEPING IN YOUR CHRISTIAN LIFE.

ENCOURAGEMENT TO CHRISTIANS TO KEEP ON KEEPING IN YOUR CHRISTIAN LIFE.

(2 Timothy 3:14) But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them;

1. WHEN FACING TRIALS IN CHRISTIAN LIFE KEEP ON PRAYING.

( Hebrews 4:16 ) Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

2. WHEN PERSECUTION COMES IN CHRISTIAN LIFE KEEP ON FULLFILLING THE GREAT COMMISSION OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST.

( Acts 11:19-24 ) [19]Now they which were scattered abroad upon the persecution that arose about Stephen travelled as far as Phenice, and Cyprus, and Antioch, preaching the word to none but unto the Jews only.

[20]And some of them were men of Cyprus and Cyrene, which, when they were come to Antioch, spake unto the Grecians, preaching the Lord Jesus.

[21]And the hand of the Lord was with them: and a great number believed, and turned unto the Lord.

[22]Then tidings of these things came unto the ears of the church which was in Jerusalem: and they sent forth Barnabas, that he should go as far as Antioch.

[23]Who, when he came, and had seen the grace of God, was glad, and exhorted them all, that with purpose of heart they would cleave unto the Lord.

[24]For he was a good man, and full of the Holy Ghost and of faith: and much people was added unto the Lord.

3. WHEN THERE IS TROUBLES AND TRIBULATION COMES KEEP ON TRUSTING GOD IN YOUR CHRISTIAN LIFE.

( II Corinthians 1:4-10 ) [4]Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.

[5]For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also aboundeth by Christ.

[6]And whether we be afflicted, it is for your consolation and salvation, which is effectual in the enduring of the same sufferings which we also suffer: or whether we be comforted, it is for your consolation and salvation.

[7]And our hope of you is stedfast, knowing, that as ye are partakers of the sufferings, so shall ye be also of the consolation.

[8]For we would not, brethren, have you ignorant of our trouble which came to us in Asia, that we were pressed out of measure, above strength, insomuch that we despaired even of life:

[9]But we had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves, but in God which raiseth the dead:

[10]Who delivered us from so great a death, and doth deliver: in whom we trust that he will yet deliver us;

4. WHEN THE SPIRITUAL ENEMY ATTACT YOU KEEP YOURSELF TO BE STRONG IN THE POWER OF THE LORD.

( Ephesians 6:10-14 ) [10]Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.

[11]Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

[12]For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

[13]Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

[14]Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;

5. WHEN CHRISTIANS ARE DOUBTING IN THEIR DIRECTION KEEP ON DEFENDING IN THE LEADING OF THE HOLY SPIRIT IN YOUR LIFE.

( John 16:13 ) Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.

6. WHEN CHRISTIANS RECEIVED MANY TALENTS FROM THE LORD KEEP ON SERVING GOD.

( Romans 12:6-11 ) [6]Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith;

[7]Or ministry, let us wait on our ministering: or he that teacheth, on teaching;

[8]Or he that exhorteth, on exhortation: he that giveth, let him do it with simplicity; he that ruleth, with diligence; he that sheweth mercy, with cheerfulness.

[9]Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good.

[10]Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another;

[11]Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord;

7. WHEN CHRISTIANS RECEIVED MANY FINANCIAL BLESSINGS FROM THE LORD KEEP ON GIVING TO GOD FAITHFULLY.

( Malachi 3:10-12 ) [10]Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.

[11]And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the LORD of hosts.

[12]And all nations shall call you blessed: for ye shall be a delightsome land, saith the LORD of hosts.

8. WHEN CHRISTIANS KNOW THAT THE COMING OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST IS VERY SOON KEEP ON WAITING AND SERVING IN SERVING GOD.

( Matthew 24:45-47 ) [45]Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season?

[46]Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing.

[47]Verily I say unto you, That he shall make him ruler over all his goods.

* ( Philippians 1:5-6 ) [5]For your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now;

[6]Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:

* God bless you all always *
