[C] [PREACHING LESSON 13:] NOW THAT WE KNOW THAT WE ARE A CHILD OF GOD, WHAT DOES GOD EXPECT FROM HIS CHILDREN – PART 2

(NGAYONG ALAM MO NA NA IKAW AY ANAK NG DIYOS, ANO ANG INAASAHAN NIYA SA’YO? – PART 2)
JOHN 1:12-13 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, [even] to them that believe on his name:
Jn 1:13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.”

6. GOD EXPECTS THAT WE WILL SEPARATE FROM WORLDLY PEOPLE
2CORINTHIANS 6:14-18 “Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?
2Cor 6:15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?
2Cor 6:16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in [them]; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
2Cor 6:17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean [thing]; and I will receive you,
2Cor 6:18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.”

2CORINTHIANS 6:14 “Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?”

2CORINTHIANS 6:14 “Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?”

2CORINTHIANS 6:15 “And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?”

2CORINTHIAN 6:16 “And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in [them]; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.”

2CORINTHIAN 6:17-18 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean [thing]; and I will receive you,
2Cor 6:18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.”
“And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in

7. GOD EXPECTS THAT WE WILL WALK BY FAITH AND NOT BY SIGHT
2CORINTHIANS 5:7 “(For we walk by faith, not by sight:)”

ROMANS 10:17 “So then faith [cometh] by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”

HEBREWS 11:4 “By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh.”

HEBREWS 11:5 “By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God.”

HEBREWS 11:7 “By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith.”

HEBREWS 11:8 “By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went.”

8. GOD EXPECTS THAT WE WILL FOLLOW THE STEPS OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST
1PETER 2:21 “For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps:”

JOHN 10:17 “Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again.”

b.    Isang mabuting halimbawa si Kristo sa pananalangin.
MATTHEW 26:40-41 “And he cometh unto the disciples, and findeth them asleep, and saith unto Peter, What, could ye not watch with me one hour?
Mt 26:41 Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed [is] willing, but the flesh [is] weak.”

1TIMOTHY 2:4 “Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.”
MATTHEW 9:36-38 “But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd.
Mt 9:37 Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly [is] plenteous, but the labourers [are] few;
Mt 9:38 Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.”

9. GOD EXPECTS THAT WE WILL SERVE HIM FAITHFULLY
1TIMOTHY 1:12 “And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who hath enabled me, for that he counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry;”

PROVERBS 28:20 “A faithful man shall abound with blessings: but he that maketh haste to be rich shall not be innocent.”

HEBREWS 3:2-5 “Who was faithful to him that appointed him, as also Moses [was faithful] in all his house.
Heb 3:3 For this [man] was counted worthy of more glory than Moses, inasmuch as he who hath builded the house hath more honour than the house.
Heb 3:4 For every house is builded by some [man]; but he that built all things [is] God.
Heb 3:5 And Moses verily [was] faithful in all his house, as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were to be spoken after;”

2TIMOTHY 2:1-2 “Thou therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.
2Tim 2:2 And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.”

10. GOD EXPECTS THAT WE WILL LIVE A FRUITFUL LIFE
JOHN 15:8 “Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.”

JOHN 15:11 “These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and [that] your joy might be full.”

JOHN 15:14-15 “Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.
Jn 15:15 Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.”

JOHN 15:16 “Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and [that] your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.”

Pangwakas:
HEBREWS 6:10 “For God [is] not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.”
1CORINTHIANS 15:58 “Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.”
