[B] [PREACHING LESSON 9:] SUCCESSES ARE GOOD BUT DO NOT LET IT BE A HINDRANCE BETWEEN YOU AND YOUR GOD

(ANG TAGUMPAY AY MABUTI NGUNIT HUWAG PAYAGAN NA ITO’Y MAGING HADLANG SA INYONG MAGANDANG UGNAYAN SA DIYOS)

DEUTERONOMY 8:14-20 “Then thine heart be lifted up, and thou forget the Lord thy God, which brought thee forth out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage;
Deut 8:15 Who led thee through that great and terrible wilderness, [wherein were] fiery serpents, and scorpions, and drought, where [there was] no water; who brought thee forth water out of the rock of flint;
Deut 8:16 Who fed thee in the wilderness with manna, which thy fathers knew not, that he might humble thee, and that he might prove thee, to do thee good at thy latter end;
Deut 8:17 And thou say in thine heart, My power and the might of [mine] hand hath gotten me this wealth.
Deut 8:18 But thou shalt remember the Lord thy God: for [it is] he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as [it is] this day.
Deut 8:19 And it shall be, if thou do at all forget the Lord thy God, and walk after other gods, and serve them, and worship them, I testify against you this day that ye shall surely perish.
Deut 8:20 As the nations which the Lord destroyeth before your face, so shall ye perish; because ye would not be obedient unto the voice of the Lord your God.”

Panimula:

a.     Ang lahat ng tagumpay at pagpapala ay mabuti sa buhay ng bawat anak ng Diyos ngunit madalas ay nagiging hadlang ang mga ito sa ating magandang pakikitungo sa Diyos.

b.    Nagbigay ang Diyos ng seryosong babala sa bawat Kristiyano na nagtatagumpay at pinagpapala.

Apat (4) na mahalagang paalaala sa bawat nagtatagumpay na Kristiyano:

1. SUCCESS IN LIFE IS GOOD BUT DO NOT USE THIS TO FORGET GOD

 (Ang tagumpay sa ating buhay ay mabuti ngunit huwag gawing dahilan para makalimutan ang Diyos.)

DEUTERONOMY 8:13-14 “And [when] thy herds and thy flocks multiply, and thy silver and thy gold is multiplied, and all that thou hast is multiplied;
Deut 8:14 Then thine heart be lifted up, and thou forget the Lord thy God, which brought thee forth out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage;”

a.     Ang Diyos ay may babala na bago pa lamang nila ito maranasan. Sinabi na sa kanila ito ng Diyos.

Deut 8:14 “Ay magmataas ang iyong puso, at iyong malimutan ang Panginoon mong Dios, na naglabas sa iyo sa lupain ng Egipto, sa bahay ng pagkaalipin;”

b.    Ganito kahina ang mga anak ng Diyos na kapag sila ay pinagpapala na ng Panginoon nakakalimutan na nila Siya na nagpala sa kanila.

2. SUCCESS IN LIFE IS GOOD BUT DO NOT MAKE THIS AS AN IDOL IN YOUR CHRISTIAN LIFE

 (Ang tagumpay sa ating buhay ay mabuti ngunit huwag gawing kapalit ng Panginoon sa ating buhay.)

DEUTERONOMY 8:19 “And it shall be, if thou do at all forget the Lord thy God, and walk after other gods, and serve them, and worship them, I testify against you this day that ye shall surely perish.”

a.     Deut 8:19 “At mangyayari, na kung iyong kalilimutan ang Panginoon mong Dios, at ikaw ay susunod sa ibang mga dios, at iyong paglilingkuran sila, at iyong sasambahin sila ay aking pinatototohanan laban sa inyo sa araw na ito, na kayo'y tunay na malilipol.”

b.    Madalas ang tagumpay at pagpapala ay nagiging malaking hadlang sa ating magandang kaugnayan sa

3. SUCCESS IN LIFE IS GOOD BUT DO NOT BOAST IN YOUR HEART BEFORE GOD

 (Ang tagumpay sa ating buhay ay mabuti ngunit huwag magmayabang sa inyong puso sa harapan ng Diyos)

DEUTERONOMY 8:14 “Then thine heart be lifted up, and thou forget the Lord thy God, which brought thee forth out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage;”

a.     Sinabi ng Diyos sa kanila na kung dumami ang kanilang mga pilak at ginto ay huwag magmataas ang kanilang puso.

b.    Ito ay magandang payo at paalaala ng Diyos.

Deut 8:18 “Kundi iyong aalalahanin ang Panginoon mong Dios, sapagka't siya ang nagbigay sa iyo ng kapangyarihan upang magkaroon ka ng kayamanan; upang kaniyang papagtibayin ang kaniyang tipan na kaniyang isinumpa sa iyong mga magulang, gaya nga sa araw na ito.”

Þ   Kaya walang dahilan na magyabang ang anak ng Diyos kung sila ay magtatagumpay sapagkat ang lahat ng pagpapala ay galing sa Diyos.

4. SUCCESS IN LIFE IS GOOD BUT DO NOT LET THIS GIVE YOU A REASON TO DISOBEY GOD

 (Ang tagumpay sa ating buhay ay mabuti ngunit huwag hayaang bigyan ka nito ng dahilan upang suwayin ang Diyos)

DEUTERONOMY 8:16 “Who fed thee in the wilderness with manna, which thy fathers knew not, that he might humble thee, and that he might prove thee, to do thee good at thy latter end;”

a.     Sinabi ng Diyos sa Kanyang mga anak, “Deut 8:17 At baka iyong sabihin sa iyong puso, Ang aking kapangyarihan at ang lakas ng aking kamay ang siyang nagbigay sa akin ng kayamanang ito.”

b.    Madalas ginagamit ng Diyablo na dayain ang Kristiyano na sila ay lumaban at sumuway sa Diyos dahil sa pagpapala at tagumpay sa buhay.

Pangwakas:

Sadyang mahina ang ating laman at madali tayong tumatalikod at nakakalimot sa Diyos kapag tayo ay nagtatagumpay sa ating buhay Kristiyano. Kaya ang Diyos ay mahigpit na nagbababala.
