[AA] [PREACHING LESSONS 1:] WHAT IS THE PROBLEM TO YOU CHRISTIANS AS PAUL ALSO A BIG PROBLEM

WHAT IS THE PROBLEM TO YOU CHRISTIANS AS PAUL ALSO A BIG PROBLEM

(Romans 7:15-20) [15]For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I.

[16]If then I do that which I would not, I consent unto the law that it is good.

[17]Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.

[18]For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not.

[19]For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do.s

[20]Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.

* INTRODUCTION:

a. Paul admitted his problem on choosing the things he should being genuine Christian but he cannot overcome because he in our text in

( Romans 7:18-20 ) [18]For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not.

[19]For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do.

[20]Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.

b. We all even we Christians already we in our sinful nature that to watch very closely because our flesh is still in our sinful Adamic nature that always Worldly and sinful things.

c. All of us are subject to choose sinful things instead of things holy and things that pleasing to God.

( Colossians 1:10-11 ) [10]That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;

[11]Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness;

* SOME COMMON SIN THAT THE CHRISTIAN KNOW THAT IS RIGHT TO DO THEY ARE DOING IT.

1. CHRISTIANS CHOOSE TO EQUALLY YOKE WITH UNBELIEVERS EVEN GOD WARN THEM.

( II Corinthians 6:14 ) Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?

a. This is very common to many Christians they choose to have fellowship with the Worldly things of the unbelievers even Paul warn as not equally with unbelievers because what good we can benefit having with unrighteousness and unbelievers friends of your Paul said.

( II Corinthians 6:14-15 ) [14]Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?

[15]And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?

[16]And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.

[17]Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,

[18]And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

2. CHRISTIANS MISS THE WORSHIP SERVICE EVEN THEY ARE ALWAYS REMINDED NOT TO FORSAKE THE ASSEMBLY IN THE CHURCH.

( Hebrews 10:25 ) Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

a. This is also a common problem with many Christians they always choose to miss the assembling the Temple of God.

b. This is the very reason why we train our Children in the family and in our Church to always remind them that Sunday is Lord’s and it is a holy day to Christians.

( I Corinthians 16:1-2 ) [1]Now concerning the collection for the saints, as I have given order to the churches of Galatia, even so do ye.

[2]Upon the first day of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as God hath prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come.

c. Jerusalem Church is our good model faithful worshipping God with faithfulness.

( Acts 2:46-47 ) [46]And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart,

[47]Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.

* King David is also our good model for worshipping God in His Temple with excitement and faithfulness.

( Psalms 122:1 ) I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the LORD. * Amen and Amen.

3. CHRISTIANS CHOOSE THE OLD MAN THEIR FORMER OF SINNING THOUGH THEY ALREADY ACCEPTED JESUS CHRIST IN THEIR LIFE.

( Ephesians 4:22-24 ) [22]That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;

[23]And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;

[24]And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.

* Paul commanded the Christians to not to conform to this World.

( Romans 12:1-2 ) [1]I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

[2]And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

a. What kind of sinful action our former life during the time that we not yet saved.

( Ephesians 4:17-32 ) [17]This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind,

[18]Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart:

[19]Who being past feeling have given themselves over unto lasciviousness, to work all uncleanness with greediness.

[20]But ye have not so learned Christ;

[21]If so be that ye have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus:

[22]That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;

[23]And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;

[24]And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.

[25]Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbour: for we are members one of another.

[26]Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath:

[27]Neither give place to the devil.

[28]Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth.

[29]Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.

[30]And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.

[31]Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:

[32]And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.

b. Paul mentioned all these wicked and sinful things that Christians still doing in their Christian life.

4. CHRISTIANS ARE SERIOUSLY WARN NOT TO MAKE FRIENDS THIS WORLD BECAUSE WILL BE THEIR ENEMY.

( James 4:4 ) Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.

a. The make friends with the is to equally yoke with the unbelievers as mentioned already in our lesson and Paul commanded them to separate with them God said.

2 Corinthians 6:16-18 [16]And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.

[17]Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,

[18]And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

b. To make friends with the World is love the World and enjoy our life in the World.

* Like the bad example of Demas.

( II Timothy 4:10 ) [10]For Demas hath forsaken me, having loved this present world, and is departed unto Thessalonica; Crescens to Galatia, Titus unto Dalmatia.

c. To not partake sinful work of darkness in this World.

Ephesians 5:11-14 [11]And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.

[12]For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret.

[13]But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light: for whatsoever doth make manifest is light.

[14]Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light.

5. CHRISTIANS ARE CAMMANDED TO GLORIFY GOD IN OUR BODY AND TO CHOOSE NOT TO LOVE THE WORLD.

( 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 ) [19]What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?

[20]For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.

a. Always be ready to present our bodies a living sacrifice acceptable unto God.

Romans 12:1-2 [1]I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

b. Always choose Christ to be the center of your heart and mind rooted and grounded in love .

( Ephesians 3:17-21 ) [17]That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,

[18]May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;

[19]And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.

[20]Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,

[21]Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.

c. Always love God yet more and more in knowledge and judgment and righteousness.

( Philippians 1:9-11 ) [9]And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and in all judgment;

[10]That ye may approve things that are excellent; that ye may be sincere and without offence till the day of Christ;

[11]Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God.

* God bless you all always *
