THE CHRISTIAN’S WONDERFUL RESPONSE TO THE
GREAT GOODNESS OF GOD IN THEIR LIVES.
(
Psalms 145:7-11 ) [7]They shall abundantly utter the memory of thy
great goodness, and shall sing of thy righteousness.
[8]The
LORD is gracious, and full of compassion; slow to anger, and of great mercy.
[9]The
LORD is good to all: and his tender mercies are over all his works.
[10]All
thy works shall praise thee, O LORD; and thy saints shall bless thee.
[11]They
shall speak of the glory of thy kingdom, and talk of thy power;
5 GREAT GOOD ANSWER OF GODLY
CHRISTIAN TO GOD.
1. AS FOR ME AND MY HOUSE WE WILL
SERVE THE LORD.
(
Joshua 24:15 ) And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD,
choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers
served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites,
in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.
2. IT IS GOOD FOR ME TO DRAW NEAR TO
GOD AND MY TRUST IN HIM AND TO DECLARE HIS WORKS
(
Psalms 73:28 ) But it is good for me to draw near to God: I have
put my trust in the Lord GOD, that I may declare all thy works.
3. TO SEEK GOD FIRST IN MY LIFE AND
HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS.
(
Mathew 6:33 ) But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his
righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
4. TO FULLFILL THE GREAT COMMISSION
OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST TILL JESUS COMES BACK.
(
Philippians 1:5-6 ) [5]For your fellowship in the gospel from the first
day until now;
[6]Being
confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will
perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:
5. TO OBEY THE LEADING OF THE HOLY
SPIRIT IN MY LIFE AND ALWAY ASK HIS PERFECT GUIDANCE IN MY LIFE.
(
John 16:13 ) Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he
will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but
whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to
come.
6. TO BE FAITHFUL TO WORSHIP GOD IN
THE LORD'S DAY LIKE THE FAITHFULNESS OF JERUSALEM CHURCH
(
Acts 2:46-47 ) [46]And they, continuing daily with one accord in
the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with
gladness and singleness of heart,
[47]Praising
God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church
daily such as should be saved.
7. TO BE FAITHFUL IN MY GIVING TO THE
LORD FOR THE PURPOSE OF SUPPORTING HIS GREAT MINISTRY.
(
II Corinthians 8:6-10 ) [6]But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall
reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also
bountifully.
[7]Every
man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or
of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.
[8]And God
is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all
sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:
[9](As it
is written, He hath dispersed abroad; he hath given to the poor: his
righteousness remaineth for ever.
[10]Now he
that ministereth seed to the sower both minister bread for your food, and
multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness;)
God bless you all always *
