SOME GREAT PRIVILEGES OF GOD'S PEOPLE THAT MANY TIMES CHRISTIANS DO NOT USE TO GLORIFY GOD IN THEIR LIFE.

(John 1:12-13) [12]But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

[13]Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

priv·i·lege [noun] definition -: a right or immunity granted as a peculiar benefit, advantage, or favor

INTRODUCTION:

a. Now that you and I became a child of God by accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour of your life the bible tells us the many privileges that we have and enjoy if we only use all our spiritual privilege in our Christian life.

The is literal and moral privilege. Example those who work in a nice Company like in a Bank they privilege to have free medical insurance; they have good salary compare to the small Company that have privilege to receive from their company.

Those are who working with the high position in a Company have many privileges. The Doctors are with many privileges also.

But we are talking of spiritual privilege of the Christian because we received Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour of our life.

1. THE PRIVILEGE THAT WE ARE CALLED THE CHILDREN OF GOD.

( John 1:12-13 ) [12]But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

[13]Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

a. To be called as being the Children of God is our great privilege. Because all God's creatures cannot be called the Children of God, only who accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour of their life are the true Children of God. Those who did accepted Christ are the Children of the Devil the bible said.

( John 8:44 ) Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

b. The Children of God are heavenly people of God and citizens of heaven.

( Hebrews 11:15-16 ) [15]And truly, if they had been mindful of that country from whence they came out, they might have had opportunity to have returned.

[16]But now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he hath prepared for them a city.

c. The Children of God their sins are forgiven and forgotten by God.

( Ephesians 1:7 ) In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;

( Hebrews 10:17 ) And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.

d. The Children of God are indwelt by the Holy Spirit after the received Christ in their heart.

( 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 ) [19]What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?

[20]For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.

( Romans 8:16 ) The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:

2. THE PRIVILEGE OF PRAYER TO GOD.

( Jeremiah 33:3 ) Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.

( Luke 18:1 ) And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint;

a. One of the greatest privileges of the Christian is Prayer because we come to the throne of the grace God in Prayer ask all request to Him in prayers.

( Hebrews 4:16 ) Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

b. God answers the prayers of the righteous Christians.

(1 Peter 3:12 ) For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil.

3. THE PRIVILEGE SERVING GOD IN OUR CHRISTIAN LIFE.

( I Timothy 1: 12 ) And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who hath enabled me, for that he counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry;

a. Paul was very privilege to serve the Almighty and great God in his Christian life. It was God who gave the talent and capability to Christians to serve God.

b. God gave so many talents to Christians so that we can serve God.

( Romans 12:6-11 ) [6]Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith;

[7]Or ministry, let us wait on our ministering: or he that teacheth, on teaching;

[8]Or he that exhorteth, on exhortation: he that giveth, let him do it with simplicity; he that ruleth, with diligence; he that sheweth mercy, with cheerfulness.

[9]Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good.

[10]Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another;

[11]Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord;

c. Joshua and his family are so happy to serve the Lord.

( Joshua 24:15 ) And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.

d. The Church are one body of Christ with many different members with different talents to serve the Lord with perfect unity.

( Psalms 133;1-3) [1](A Song of degrees of David.) Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!

[2]It is like the precious ointment upon the head, that ran down upon the beard, even Aaron's beard: that went down to the skirts of his garments;

[3]As the dew of Hermon, and as the dew that descended upon the mountains of Zion: for there the LORD commanded the blessing, even life for evermore.

4. THE PRIVILEGE OF FAITHFUL GIVING TO GOD OF OUR TITHES AND OFFERING.

( Malachi 3:8-12 ) [8]Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings.

[9]Ye are cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed me, even this whole nation.

[10]Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.

[11]And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the LORD of hosts.

[12]And all nations shall call you blessed: for ye shall be a delightsome land, saith the LORD of hosts.

a. God called the faithful giver of their tithes and offerings are blessed Christian in the sight of God.

( Acts 20:35 ) I have shewed you all things, how that so labouring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.

b. The Macedonian Church are good model in giving sacrificially.

( II Corinthians 8:1-5 ) [1]Moreover, brethren, we do you to wit of the grace of God bestowed on the churches of Macedonia;

[2]How that in a great trial of affliction the abundance of their joy and their deep poverty abounded unto the riches of their liberality.

[3]For to their power, I bear record, yea, and beyond their power they were willing of themselves;

[4]Praying us with much intreaty that we would receive the gift, and take upon us the fellowship of the ministering to the saints.

[5]And this they did, not as we hoped, but first gave their own selves to the Lord, and unto us by the will of God.

c. God loveth a cheerful giver.

( II Corinthians 9:6-10 ) [6]But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully.

[7]Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.

[8]And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:

[9](As it is written, He hath dispersed abroad; he hath given to the poor: his righteousness remaineth for ever.

[10]Now he that ministereth seed to the sower both minister bread for your food, and multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness;) Amen and Amen!!!

5. THE PRIVILEGE OF SHARING OF THE GOSPEL OF CHRIST TO LOST PEOPLE.

( I Corinthians 9: 19-22 ) [19]For though I be free from all men, yet have I made myself servant unto all, that I might gain the more.

[20]And unto the Jews I became as a Jew, that I might gain the Jews; to them that are under the law, as under the law, that I might gain them that are under the law;

[21]To them that are without law, as without law, (being not without law to God, but under the law to Christ,) that I might gain them that are without law.

[22]To the weak became I as weak, that I might gain the weak: I am made all things to all men, that I might by all means save some.

a. The Lord Jesus Christ is our prime model in winning lost people.

( John 9:4-5 ) [4]I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.

[5]As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.

b. The very reason why Christ came done earth is to seek and to save that which was lost.

( Luke 19 :10 ) For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.

b. Christ encourage His disciples to look on the fields for they are white already to harvest.

( John 4:35 ) Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest.

6. THE PRIVILEGE OF SUFFERING AS A CHRISTIAN FOR CHRIST GLORY.

( I Peter 4: 13-16 ) [13]But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.

[14]If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye; for the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you: on their part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified.

[15]But let none of you suffer as a murderer, or as a thief, or as an evildoer, or as a busybody in other men's matters.

[16]Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf.

a. Christian expects to trials and persecution in Christian life. But God is glorified when Christians are rejoicing in God for facing trouble and trials in our Christian life.

b. If Christ also experience to face persecution we Christian also will experience the same experience of the Lord Jesus Christ.

( John 17:14-15 ) [14]I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.

[15]I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil.

c. The God of all grace will always strengthen and stablish us in times of our trouble and trials in Christian life.  Amen.

( I Peter 5:10 ) But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.

God bless you all always *
